Rumor: Remington RM380 .38 ACP Pistol Release Imminent?

remington-rm38

Big Rock Sports (BRS) has a compact semi-automatic pistol named the Remington RM380 listed in their database (see above). All we know about this gun is that it is chambered in .380 ACP, takes 6-round magazines and has a MSRP of $410 (UPC 885293964549)

The MSRP suggests this may be a .380 ACP version of the 9mm Remington R51. On the other hand, Remington may be introducing a polymer sub-compact to complete with the Ruger LCP, Kel-Tec P-3AT and Glock 42. Time will tell.

Note: this has not been independently confirmed by a second source.

I’d rather see an r51 than yet another da 380. This price point beats the heck out of buying p238 or mustang.

if it’s a G42 clone, why bother? the size you could get a 9mm or if you want 380, you can get it in a smaller package.

i’ll be waiting for more info.

Given how late to the .380 party the G42 was, I’d hesitate to call anything a
      “G42 clone”.

what i meant was the fact it’s size is closer to other 9mm pocket pistols, but capacity of smaller 380s. yes it was late but id doesn’t really have a home.

The title says .38 ACP, but there’s a pretty big difference between .380 ACP and .38 ACP.
.38 ACP is an obsolete cartridge that predates the .45 ACP and is dimensionally identical to the .38 Super. I actually knew a guy who had an old Colt model 1900, but I haven’t seen him in years.

I am on Big Rock right now and they have no such thing on there. No .380 acp, no 38 acp.

All Remington has to do is steal Kel-Tec’s design like everybody else did. Done deal and good to.

What good’s a neato pistol without ammo? I haven’t seen any .380 in months.

I’d be very interested as I love Remington firearms! If the made an LCP size .380 I’d trade my LCP in on it!
