Battlelink Minalist Stock

Mission First Tactical (MFT) is now shipping the Battlelink Minimalist Stock.  The company claims the stock weighs less than six ounces and is the lightest AR-15 stock on the market.  The 5.8 ounce stock is a “slide on replacement” for any “original collapsible butt stock.”

MSRP is $59.99.  The Battlelink Minimalist Stock is available in black, flat dark earth, scorched dark earth, gray and foliage green.

The fact that this is considered minimal just go’s to illustrate how over-designed most AR stocks are.

  • gunslinger

    mil-spec or commercial buffer?

    • Matel Onely

Per their website they make both.

  • allannon

Interesting, but I think I’d pay the ounce or so for a strut running from the tube to the end of the butt, for a bit of extra support.

    • Clint Notestine

ive got that version and its nice a solid

    • Laserbait

      Agreed.

  • Heres another picture of it.

    • Laserbait

They wouldn’t need a lightweight stock if they would take off all that other crap. 😀

  • Joshua

All I see is one giant snag hazard.

  • Lance

    Also fits ugliest stock too.

  • davethegreat

It looks cool, but I would never, ever, ever put that stock on a gun I planned to use anywhere but a range.

Because it’s a hook. It’s a huge hook. It will grab seatbelts of cop cars, backpacks of soldiers, treebranches of hunters and who knows what else. That’s what hooks do.

    • Julio

      Exceptionally well put!

I’m with Brandon on the weight/balance thing too.

    • Beju

Excellent point. The last thing I need before/after a left-hand transition is my stock snagging my radio cord.

Loved to see try this out as a possible better option than the ACE ARUL-E for featureless builds because of the stubborn stupidity that keeps me here in California.

WIshing Magpul’s MOE Fixed Carbine Stock would’ve been a good option, but just the standard MOE stock pinned on the 2nd or 3rd position works out better because of the usable grip space left over from the lack of the pistol grip (a.k.a. Evil Feature).

    I hate California.

  • Brandon

I actually like a little weight back there to balance it out a bit.

  • Jorge Da Silva

I have it. Its well built & tight. Feels good on the shoulder provides a good balance. as far as catching on stuff…trolls

    • sauerquint

It’s funny, the people that dismiss this stock based on a picture have 20 upvotes, but the person that actually has one and dismisses the wild assumptions of it’s functionality has none. Hmmmm.

  • DAZE

    Nice hook/cane handle……..

It would be better to actually use the product before passing judgement. My pocket clip knives snag on things as well – but their advantages and utility far outweigh the slight inconvenience of un-snagging them……
