JTech S3 Sling (Silent Strategic System)

JTech Gear is manufacturing a nifty sling system designed by Strike Industries. The S3 Sling (Silent Strategic System) uses kevlar loops rather than metal or plastic sling hooks or swivels. Nylon covers the YKK Hamerloc buckles to decrease the sound of the weapon being detached. Other than the obvious use for law enforcement and military, this sling could be useful for both home defense and hunting situations when you would not want to give your position away. The MSRP is $25.95.

JTech Gear is not as well known as they should be in the USA. I met them for the first time last year at SHOT Show. They are a major manufacturer of military and law enforcement uniforms and gear and supply militaries around the world. I know of at least one well known special forces organization that uses uniforms made by them (I cannot remember if I was allowed to publish the organization’s name, so I won’t).

um good point, I forgot both the MSRP and a link to the product. I have updated the blog post. Thanks.

How bad can it be for $25.95 … MAGPul’s sling is like $79.99 these days.

I don’t recall seeing this sling, but I visited their booth this year as well and looked at their product line. Its pretty much mil spec stuff. I gather most of their business is dealing with militaries.

I have purchased three of Magpul’s MS3 slings very recently and they were 45.95 at my local gear store. Eighty bucks is bananas.

Israel soldiers use the similar design: Use Nylon loop instead of QD swivels.

I have one of these and alI can say is that it’s perfect. It has some of the more expensive features seen on VTAC slings plus it’s QD and has silent buckles. You can literally attach it anywhere. You can’t go wrong.

An even cheaper way to do it is some 550 cord and a grimlock to your sling 😉 . 25 bucks is great though.
