Vortek .50 Muzzleloader Pistol

Traditions Performance Firearms have developed a break-action muzzleloading hunting pistol based on their Vortek Rifle.

The Vortex pistol features a 13” ultralight tapered ported barrel, Accelerator Breech Plug, CeraKote Finish and LT-1 alloy frame.

The MSRP is $369 with hardwood furniture $445 with Realtree AP™ camo furniture (pictured above).

    Ok, as I understand it, the main appeal of these modernized muzzleloaders is to take advantage of the earlier muzzleloading deer season. Some people like handgun hunting, but isn’t muzzleloading handgun hunting a rather small niche? Does the niche even exist? What is the intended purpose of this pistol? Please educate me.
