2" barrel model (MRSP: $775)

66 tfb Chiappa Rhino .357 Mag Revolver finally shipping photo
4" barrel model (MSRP: $899)

From the press release ...

Rhino Revolver has finally cleared all the import requirements and tests for sale in the United States and are now arriving for distribution by MKS Supply, the exclusive marketer for the Rhino.

...

The Rhino, especially in the 2-inch version is an unusual looking firearm but form really does follow function. The recoil and muzzle flip from hot loads is greatly reduced thanks to the bottom chamber firing position. It just Works! And people who have shot it are amazed by the glass smooth action of this revolver.

Yep MARO is having a ROID RAGE attack. Broken English, Off Topic, Don’t know that gives the community a Black Eye. But it does make himself look incredibly stupid. I believe by know everyone knows how steroids affect the human body. I’ve been noticing some forum trolls running around the internet on web pages. I’d give him a 2, just because of Broken English, syntax, vague attempt, and makes no sense. The better trolls usually hit the Science Web Sites.

I want the 4″. It’s no bigger than my Judge Public Defender and it comes in 357 MAG hopefully. I’d definitely Love to use the CHIAPPA for a Carry Pistol.
IWB Holsters, are they hard to find on this particular one? I have a person that makes Custom Cowhide Holsters with tooling for me. Just wondered if they came out with a Holster. The Guy that makes the Holster for in is one State Over in Louisanna and On one like this I don think he has a Blue Gun for. So Id have to mail the Pistol to him for the Leather Work.

I just got a 2″ Rhino last week for my gun collection. I find it attractiove, very solid made, even black finish, DA trigger pull is a bit stiff, and single action light. The lever (it is not a hammer) atop cocks the internal mechinism to shoot SA. It is also very heavy to pull. Down side i doubt if te horrid trigger pull can be lightened because of the wire springs used internaly.
I only paid $675. and it did come with a quality leather holster.
I read mine is in the 1st batch of 200 just released. Chippa contracts a small italian show with 10 employees to produce this gun. Longer versions may be a while.
All in all it is innovative. I have it displayed right next to the Ruger LCR

Unfortunately, the aesthetics of this are bizarrely bad, even if the idea itself is good.

Clean up the lines, reduce the novel written on the side, and introduce a version in larger calibers where the reduced muzzle flip is actually needed.

Price wise, its a bit more than I want to spend on a revolver, and make a pre/no-lock S&W possibly a better deal. Not sure how the quality/durability is on the production ones, hopefully, someone here can chime in on how reliable/durable these are.

I’ll probably be one of the few posters on this blog who isn’t a big fan of these revolvers. They look incredibly bulky and heavy and to my personal eye, somewhat ugly.

As per the press release’s claim of greatly reduced recoil and muzzle flip – any revolver with a full lug – be it over or under – will greatly reduce muzzle flip and any revolver that has substantial mass, will greatly reduce recoil.

However, these observations will fall on deaf ears as every poster just imagines a Chinese Noodle Seller uttering the words ‘He says you Brade Runner’.
