F.LLI PIETTA MK-85: Sterling clone in .22

The F.LLI Pietta's MK-85 is a .22 LR pistol that is a scaled down semi-automatic clone of the British Sterling submachine gun. Its single stack magazine holds 15 rounds. The barrel is 7" long. It weighs 3 lbs.

Apparently the F.A.P. (Fabbrica d'Armi Fratelli Pietta) MK85 pistol was on display at SHOT Show. Because of all the new black rifles which debuted, they decided to hold launching it until next year.

I can't wait to take this baby Sterling to the range icon smile F.LLI PIETTA MK 85: Sterling clone in .22 photo

It better be cheap, because you can get Sterlings in 9mm for cheap.

+1 stormtroopers, +1 bigger clip. Seriously, this could be a cool carbine. 30 rd clip plz!

I’d actually rather see a full-size carbine copy with a 16″ barrel and a 25rd.+ clip… A carbine would be better for this platform in any case.

Aurelien beat me to the Stormtrooper comment. Unfortunately it seems that it is scaled down from the Sterling (about 3/4 scale), so it wouldn’t really be right.

    Greetings from Texas,
Looks like fun. I see the .22 PPHs at gunshows and on line auctions from time to time. I sure wish I had gotten one when they first came out!

Pietta was already known for its PPSh .22 version. I had one of those, was a neat and fun little cute thing.

I’m definitely looking forward for this one.
