I’d take a plane jane ’226R over that anyday, if I weren’t to sell it and then buy, with the spare cash, a ’226, some extra ammo and mags. It’s like the USSF commemorative M11/0 or FSB makarov. I don’t see the point. In my eyes, beauty is in the design elegance. Things like the AK do that for me: the fit and finish is sh*t, but it still gets it done and, I dare say, several lifetimes more reliable than an AR.

Don’t fire it though, the anodizing will chip off the frame rails. LOL!

I don’t think I would mind it, if it came with something besides those walnut grips.

The funny thing is that I’ve seen some of these selling on GunBroker for as little as $1,200 plus SH&I. As a gun dealer, I find it a little funny when these idiots rush out to give away a valuable gun that they could make a reasonable profit on. Additionally, Sig’s MAP price on this is $1,499.

I guess that the guys that give the guns away will always be selling guns out of their basement instead of growing their business.

That’s awfully gaudy, but only 226 made? That’d be a neat collector piece. I wouldn’t mind having one; I love my 226.

I agree they will sell out quickly!

I just wonder if they will have plastic guide rods, MIM “seams,” and gritty triggers?

I wish I could say the 25th anniversary was happening on a up-note for Sig, but it’s not.

You would have to be Saddam to like that thing. I don’t get why people like modern combat pistols with such non-functional details. I can understand an old Colt cowboy action revolver with ivory grips and some engraving but this just doesn’t make sense to me. Perhaps it’s just me.
