New Tech-Sight AK peep sight

tsak-4-tm.jpg

Tech-Sight who are well known for M16 style peep sight for the Ruger 10/22 will be selling an AK peep sight later this year.

 Tsak-4

It features a “GI” style post and aperture sight picture, return to zero system (presumably after the receiver dust cover is removed) and detent locking click adjustments. UPDATE: War Wolf called them and found out the MSRP will be $100 – $125.

I think this could be a very popular accessory, if the return to zero works as advertised. Peep sights are great, I learnt to shoot with a peep sight and still prefer them over scopes.

I called Tech-Sights and they told me that they expect to MSRP for $100 to $125. They have not fitted them to milled AK’s yet but stamped are good to go. He told me that they will be checking the fit on milled for those of us who have them. He suggested that the receiver may be a little wider but would probably fit on the milled.

War, thanks for calling them. I have updated the blog post.

At the least, it will increase the length between front and rear sight, increasing accuracy. Kreb’s makes a peep sight replacement rear sight. LaRue offers a replacement rear that contains a Burris Red Dot sight as well as BUIS.

The maker said on THR what he expected the price point to be. I believe it was $100-125. Also, I will believe these are for sale when I see it. They have been rumored and talked about for a long time.

What I’m really looking for is something to the effect of the Galil. The Tech-Sight is one idea, Blackthorne has something coming in, I’m still looking for “just the right one”. Has to be full rear mount. I’ve used the Mojo and the Williams, nice but still short sight radius.
