A full-length stock FAL with a heavy barrel and a bipod is a difficult weapon to control in FA for medium-sized people. Paratrooper folding stock makes control even worse. FAL is a GREAT full-size battle rifle, with excellent 400 yard ballistics and accuracy, but it’s not a great S.A.W. FAL is a very nice self-loading rifle design, in the company of M-14/M1A, G3, AR-10.
Yes, I have heard that the FAL on full auto is pretty useless.
