One opinion on the Mossberg 500 vs. Remington 870 debate

From the SurvivalBlog.com

“When customers ask me to choose between the Mossberg 500 and the Remington 870, I go with the Remington.”

I personally prefer the Mossy 500, not for any reason in particular, just my personal preference. I find people often prefer firearms that they had experience with or good memories of, myself included.

Doing a google search for “Mossberg 500 vs. Remington 870″ turns up over 13,000 pages!

I love my Remington 870 because it’s a Marine Magnum and Mossberg does not do that! It’s all good because shotguns, of any type are cool! Great blog, by the way.

The reason I like the Mossberg 500 over the Remington 870 is the placement of the safety. I like a tang safety on a shotgun. You can leave it on safe until the very moment you start to shoulder the shotgun .
