PARD USA, a night vision and thermal imaging specialist, is announcing a new FT-34 thermal riflescope. The design allows the FT-34 to work as a handheld monocular, a riflescope or as a clip-on to your existing daytime optic.

Thermal Monoculars are great observation devices for low-light or no-light situations. X-Vision Optics has just announced the release of their all-new TM50 thermal monocular which features a large 256×192 pixel thermal detector allowing for detection on big-game from up to 1,200 yards away. In addition, the new TM50 sports compatibility with your smartphone so it can be used in conjunction with a tripod for a much easier-to-use observation device.

Well, this week we revisit the AB Night Vision RPNVG but focus on their new RPNVG Mono adapter. They convert the QD pods into a stand-alone monocular night vision device.

I bought a PVS31A at the beginning of the year. While I have not recorded hours of use, I have spent a decent amount of time behind them both in courses and practice. As an aid to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the United States transferred 2,500 night vision helmet mounted monoculars to Ukraine. The ceremony was held in the US embassy in Kiev, Ukraine. The US side was represented by Marie Yovanovitch, the United States ambassador to Ukraine and the representative of Ukraine in this event was Viktor Muzhenko, Chief of the General Staff and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The mentioned number of the night vision devices is enough to arm ten battalions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The sum of transfer is $5.8M.
