With some heartache we report that the iconic Oregon Thunder Ranch itself is on the market. Note that all booked classes are going to proceed as scheduled, and that Thunder Ranch (and Clint) will continue to train students – it’s just the physical Oregon ranch that’s on the market. Whether or not TR is moving out of “the Oregon Outback” is TBD.

The day many of you have been waiting for has come (and gone): The Desert Tech MDR has finally been released to the US consumer marlet after more than four years of development. Desert Tech announced the gun’s official release in a monthly update on their website, citing the first delivery of the rifle made on July 21st:

The assets of Molot include 91 buildings, 12,890 pieces of equipment and machinery, 13 patents, 16 registered brands etc.

Along with the IAR finalists consisting of Heckler & Koch’s 416, FN’s HAMR, Colt submitted an entry to the Marine Corps Infantry Automatic Rifle competition. Of course, this is ancient history, and H&K won the competition with M27 IAR. However, unlike all the other competitors, Colt’s IAR 6940 submission has actually made it to market, for public sale. Not the entire rifle, but just the upper receiver. The competition uppers used by the Marine Corps must have been returned to Colt, or these were a prototype run that were actually never fired in the competition. But either way, around 150-200 of them are for sale through a company called U.S. Armament Corps, based in Ephrata, PA. The price is $2000, and can be purchased online through the company themselves.

Almost two years ago, Beretta announced a new striker-fired, polymer framed handgun, which they called the APX. Now, the APX has finally hit gun stores… In Argentina. User mithrils of The Beretta Forum uploaded photos and a short range review of his new pistol, showing the on-the-market Beretta APX off to the other members.
