Federal Ammunition sponsored shooter Cameron Hicks won the FITASC event at the 2026 Seminole Cup, one of the premier sporting clays competitions in the country. The event ran February 24 through March 1 at Broadfield, a Sea Island Sporting Club and Lodge in Georgia, drawing over 600 shooters.

At SHOT Show 2026, Federal Ammunition introduced more than 20 new centerfire rifle cartridges, 25 shotgun ammunition options and 6 handgun ammo products. These include not only updates and new offerings in existing product families but also completely new ammunition lines. Let’s take a quick look at the most notable new products that Federal will offer in 2026.

As suppressor use continues to shape both rifle design and ammunition development, Federal Ammunition is expanding its centerfire rifle offerings for 2026 with a mix of new product lines and additional loadings across established platforms. The updates reflect a growing demand for suppressor-optimized performance as well as continued interest in long-range hunting and AR-based cartridges.

Federal Ammunition, the flagship brand of The Kinetic Group and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Czechoslovak Group (CSG), has secured multi-year contracts to supply Canadian law enforcement with high-performance 9mm and .308 Win—ammunition for duty and training. Federal’s latest deal with Canadian agencies aims to arm agencies like the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Parks Canada, Correctional Services Canada, and Canada Border Services Agency with Federal ammo. Announced on May 6th of this year, these contracts highlight Federal’s growing global influence under CSG’s ownership.

If you’ve got one of the new-and-improved .32 pistols that have come out over the past few years, then you need to feed it. And to help you with that, Federal has brought out new 32 H&R Magnum loads in its American Eagle lineup.

In a surprising announcement, Federal has invented a new cartridge for us to salivate over, and they brought along some new technology to go along with it. The cartridge in question is “7mm Backcountry,” and this is not just another magnum. This cartridge pushes the envelope on velocity for 7mm rounds by rethinking the design and possibilities of the casing that houses it.

Federal Ammunition has just secured itself another high-profile government contract. According to an announcement from the American ammo manufacturer, it’s secured a 12-month contract to provide 7.62x51mm rifle ammunition to SOCOM.

It is officially no secret that the US Navy is searching out some more ammunition because they have been announcing ammo contract securements as of late. Remington recently was awarded a contract for shotgun shells and now we have some more news concerning Federal. Federal Ammunition has recently been awarded the Mk316 Mod 0 US Navy Contract for 7.62x51mm rifle ammunition for two years.
