In today’s episode, we follow Miles to Shot Show 2018 to the High Threat Concealment booth.

Perhaps one of the most annoying “features” for those building an AR-15 handgun (and not using an arm brace” is the existence of the receiver extension tube. Unlike short-recoil handgun slides, the buffer tube sticks out a fair amount from the receiver and makes concealing the handgun (if one trys) a real annoyance.

It is great to see more historically “tactical” companies embracing “covert” style gear. Hopefully the day of the MOLLE clad contractor, with cargo tactical pants, ball caps with cool guy patches, and backpacks that scream “I’m going to war, or maybe have lunch at a park in downtown Somalia” look is nearing it’s end… (Yeah, right, who am I kidding).
