The Sonicore Family
Lyman’s Sonicore line of suppressors is a licensed development of a European line of suppressors that has been on the market for more than ten years. Lyman took those designs and adapted and tailored them for American shooters. One of the core features of the Sonicore lineup is modular designs. The baffle sections all thread together, so the shooter can add as many or as few as they want for a given application. These are not rated for full auto fire. MSRPs range from $199 to only $299 for these silencers.
Rather than using exotic materials, the Sonicore suppressors are made of steel and aluminum. This offers good durability while still having very competitive price points. Let's go through the various models in the family.
Skarv 22
The Skarv is a modular rimfire suppressor. It weights 3.2 ounces, is five inches long, and 1.13 inches in diameter. The Skarv is an aluminum silencer with an anodized finish.
Rekkr
The Rekkr comes in two mounting options: a traditional muzzle mount direct thread, as well as an over-barrel direct thread. It has an aluminum main body with stainless steel inserts in the baffles at the highest wear points. Each section is removable so you can find the right combo of sound suppression and maneuverability for your purposes. The Rekkr comes in .30 and .223 caliber options.
Paradox
While the Rekkr is more tactically oriented, the Paradox line is tailored to hunters. Like the Rekkr, the Paradox comes in traditional direct thread and over-barrel mounting options, and in both .30 and .223 calibers. It is lighter than the Rekkr but still has steel baffle inserts.
Valor 9
The Valor 9 is a handgun suppressor, and includes both 1/2x28 and M13.5x1 LH mounts as well as a booster system and fixed barrel mount. The outer body is aluminum, and the mounting system is stainless steel.

Genuinely awesome. I've never seen a reason for a high dollar rimfire can and it's equally nice to sea affordable, hunting-oriented over-the-barrel suppressors.
I'm hoping for a value priced over-the-barrel (reflex) 9mm for a Kuna or Scorpion or similar. It makes sense to keep a PCC/PDW compact.
