New CZ 600+ Bolt-Action Rifle - Interchangeable Barrels & Sub-0.75 MOA
CZ has announced the launch of the CZ 600+ bolt-action rifle series. Described as engineered for precision, versatility, and reliability, the CZ 600+ series is said to set a new standard for hunting and precision rifles, tailored for hunters and shooters who demand uncompromising performance. The CZ 600+ series features a modular design highlighted by patented innovations.
These include an advanced Silent, Ergonomic, and Ambidextrous (S.E.A.) safety, a quick 4-position adjustable trigger, and an innovative interchangeable barrel system. The series guarantees unmatched precision and accuracy, supported by CZ’s lifetime barrel warranty, ensuring consistent, reliable performance in the field and at the range.
With the interchangeable barrel system, shooters can easily and safely swap barrels, allowing one rifle to adapt to multiple calibers, from hunting to sport shooting, seamlessly. Select models, such as the CZ 600+ ALPHA, AMERICAN, and LUX, deliver guaranteed sub-MOA accuracy at 100 yards (three-shot groups), while the RANGE offers guaranteed sub-0.75 MOA accuracy in five-shot groups, each tested with match-grade factory ammunition.

The CZ 600+ series includes five distinct models tailored to meet various shooting disciplines and preferences:

- CZ 600+ ALPHA: Rugged polymer stock designed for reliable performance in all conditions.
- CZ 600+ LUX: Classic European walnut stock with fiber optic adjustable iron sights.
- CZ 600+ RANGE: Optimized for precision shooting with adjustable stock features.
- CZ 600+ TRAIL: Compact, versatile model featuring a retractable stock and compatibility with AR and CZ BREN 2 magazines.
All-in-all, this sounds like fantastic news. I’ve never shot the CZ600 or the 600+, but I’ve handled them at various trade shows, and I really like the ergonomics. Sub-0.75 MOA accuracy and a barrel-swap system on top of that is for sure going to be of high interest to the market.

Why did they have to make the stock so ugly??
This is exciting, hopefully they made a good poly stock. The Sako s20 was supposed to be great, but it's tanked, cheap plastic stocks that cracked, and feeding problems from the mags. Too heavy for hunting, not heavy enough for competition. Most stores won't even carry them now, and Beretta has to be the worst customer service interface you could run into.
Looks like the orange model is the "Ergo" and may not be available in the states. They also make a green version of it, but it's not the 600+ with barrel exchange.
The MDT versions could be the interesting, but it probably won't sell for PRS. They mention it being an option for production/factory division, but those divisions are dominated now by custom shops like Seekins, PVA, MPA etc. because all they have to do is make 50 of them to qualify. So when you can buy a Seekins/PVA/MPA etc. rig and run in factory/production, no one is buying a ruger, cz, etc.
Also the accuracy guarantee on the Trail is pretty bad at only 2 MOA. It really goes to show that the European companies really don't understand hunting and competition trends in the US. If they made the trail lightweight, in medium game calibers with 1 MOA accuracy, it would sell like hotcakes.
Not sure I like the magazine lock, more moving parts is usually bad, esp. when they are plastic. I don't know a single hunter that I've ever heard say they wished their magazine was locked in place so they could top feed a rifle. Especially with a small ejection port and optic in place.
