AR-15 aficionados will be pleased to learn that the Knights Armament’s SR-15 E3 rifle’s uppers and lowers are now avalible for purchase separately.

Lower

The lower features a 4.5 lbs two stage match trigger and ambidextrous fire selector, bolt release and magazine release. Knesek Guns have it listed for $700.

Upper

    "I can’t believe people pay that much for AR pattern rifles. You could build the exact same gun with the exact same accessories and performance for less than 1/3 of their asking price. If HK’s mantra is “because you suck, and we hate you,” KAC’s should be “Because We Can Get Away With It, Suckers!”"

    Please, price out the rifle that would be equal to this, and of this quality please... It includes front and rear BUIS, BCG and charging handle. It comes very close at $1300 dollars to most others in that quality range... However, I do believe you are also paying in part for the name sake.

    What other company makes a completely ambidextrous lower for the AR? None that I'm aware of. What other company offers the E3 bolt and barrel extension (proven by the Magpul Dynamics guys to keep going when regular bolts have given up the ghost)? No one. Combine those two proprietary technologies with a CHF barrel (probably made by FN, like DD's and BCM's are) and the URX rail and I think it's not a bad deal. Certainly not "just the same as..."
