Shield Sights have a couple of new micro compact red dot sights in their line up for SHOT Show 2025 - the RMSsc and the brand new OMSsc.

RMSsc

The RMSsc is an updated, slightly smaller version of the RMSc. Made from Aerospace grade anodized T6 6082 Aluminium it is powered by a CR1632 3V Lithium battery and is available in 4 or 8MOA options, both of which are Night Vision compatible. MSRP is $429.99 and they're available to pre-order now.

I wasn't expecting a world’s first at the Shield Sights booth but that's exactly what they say they have on their hands. The world’s first transparent roof on a micro compact red dot for what Shield Sights say is an “unparalleled field of view”.

The OMSsc is designed for concealed carry and small form factor pistols. It features Auto brightness adjustment and always on technology.

They say that the transparent frame provides a sharp and clear reflective surface and allows more light into the optic. Sheild Sights explained that it allows “more light onto the photo diode to give a much more precise level of LED output.”

The sight’s body is made from aerospace grade anodized T6 6082 Aluminium which interfaces with the clear polymer hood. Shield Sights explained that you don't need to be concerned about the hood breaking and that in recent testing the lens cracked before the hood broke during pressure testing.

The sight is available in 4 or 8 MOA options which are night vision compatible. Both are powered by A CR1632 3V Lithium battery which should give a 1.5 year battery life with average use.

It's extremely compact with just a multimeter or so either side of the battery. The OMSsc uses the standard SHIELD mounting footprint. MSRP will be $429.99 for both the 4 and 8 MOA dots. The OMSsc is coming soon and you can sign up for updates here.
