Heckler & Koch Announces HK USA
Renowned German firearms manufacturer Heckler & Koch has announced the launch of HK USA, which may have many scratching their heads wondering, “Isn’t that already a thing?” Well, yes and no. Until now HK USA has imported and assembled Heckler & Koch firearms from their headquarters in Columbus, Georgia while design and manufacturing have remained largely in Germany. This dynamic has sparked deep-seated misconceptions about the company’s commitment to the American commercial market. Unanswered demand for models and features has frustrated the community, inspiring claims that Heckler & Koch hates its customers and reserves its focus for military contracts.
P7Pro - The Legendary P7 Reborn in The USA
The H&K P7, born in West Germany in 1979, is a highly recognizable design with unique features that earned it a large fanbase. With the model discontinued in 2008, the only option to get it has been the used market, with increasing prices and minimal access to spare parts. P7Pro is changing this by setting up production of American-made P7 pistols.
POTD: 2024 Summer Olympics and Heckler & Koch HK416F
The French Army sent a souvenir from the 2024 Summer Olympics, and because we like firearms it’s a pretty good share for the readers of TFB’s Photo Of The Day. There are at least four Heckler & Koch HK416F rifles in this image, with both EOTech and Aimpoint sights. I spot more empty holsters than Glocks. Can you see it as well? (Hint: second from the left).
The German Army Selects Heckler & Koch G210
The German Army has selected Heckler & Koch’s MR308A6 as the G210. Since 2020 the Bundeswehr has been seeking a new short-range sniper weapon (Scharfschützengewehr kurze Reichweite). Initially this was to be fielded in small numbers with the Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK) und Feldjäger units but appears to have subsequently become a larger program with the option to procure up to 500 G210 rifles.
