Taurus Releases The Compact 22TUC
The 22TUC from Taurus USA is a lightweight compact handgun that takes advantage of developments in .22LR terminal ballistics to deliver a user-friendly CCW option that is easy to shoot and effortless to carry. I can already hear you guys, “But Darwin, .22LR isn’t an effective defensive round.” I know, I know, but some people still carry pocket pistols, and the best gun in an emergency is the one you have on you.

TFB Review: Springfield Echelon Comp 4.5F 9mm
The Springfield Armory Echelon has been a very well received introduction to a loaded handgun market because of its infusion of everything modern shooters are looking for. Springfield’s proprietary VIS (Variable Interface System) mounting system lets you plug ‘n play with all of your favorite red dots via a “post system” and no adapter plates are required. Couple that with extendos, a good trigger, nice stipple job, and other accouterments and it is all-around a wonderful pistol.
TFB Review: XS Sights DXT2 - Fixing The Desert Eagle’s Biggest Flaw
Fellow writer Luke C. discovered I picked up a Magnum Research Desert Eagle and generously gave me two sets of XS Sights to test after learning I was less than thrilled with the stock sights. This article will focus on how I installed and tested the XS Sights DXT2 Big Dot Night Sights on my .44 Mag Desert Eagle.
P7Pro - The Legendary P7 Reborn in The USA
The H&K P7, born in West Germany in 1979, is a highly recognizable design with unique features that earned it a large fanbase. With the model discontinued in 2008, the only option to get it has been the used market, with increasing prices and minimal access to spare parts. P7Pro is changing this by setting up production of American-made P7 pistols.

TFB Review: Timney Glock Alpha Trigger
The pursuit of speed is unrelenting. It has captured the hearts and minds of mankind worldwide. I imagine the day after the firearm was invented, someone tried to shoot it a tad bit faster. Throughout the years, there have been many upgrades and iterations to the primitive tool that we call the firearm. What may have started as the Hand Cannon in China in the 13th century has long evolved into a tool that's so distant from its roots, that it's almost unrecognizable.

TFB Review: EAA Girsan MC14BDA .380
EAA has a reputation for making affordable versions of pistols made by other manufacturers. When Beretta discontinued the classic Beretta 80-series pistols, Girsan stepped up to make clones. The recent MC14BDA is a “clone” of a close 80-series cousin, the Browning BDA. I spent the last several months with one, and it is time to share my findings.

The Strike Pstol Linear Compensator is not a suppressor although it may look like one and Strike Industries say it can be a great prop alternative to suppressors.
TFB Review: P365 Romeo-X Compact Slide Assembly
A few weeks back I took my concealed carry pistol to the range for some much-needed practice. When I drew and acquired a sight picture, the only thing that went through my mind was “what the hell is that thing.” I had been shooting red dot sight-equipped pistols exclusively for months on end. In the time leading up to this practice trip, I had shot a few steel challenge matches, USPSA matches and took a course – all with red dot equipped pistols. The thing in my sight picture happened to be a steel sight post. Whether I liked it or not, the caveman tool sitting on the top deck of the slide turned out to be jarring.

Billy’s name is synonymous with Western history but much less so is the man who killed Billy the Kid - Sheriff Pat Garrett. Let’s dive right into his revolver and the history behind it!

CZ99 - A Good Pistol Developed in a Bad Time. Part 2
In Part 1 of this article, I wrote about the fascinating history of CZ99 which involved the shady international arms dealer, the collapse of Yugoslavia, and an unknown gunsmith who couldn’t tell the difference between numbers “8” and “9”. In the second part of this story, I want to talk about the intricate destiny of this design after Yugoslavia was sanctioned in 1992 and lost access to the US market. From the beginning, CZ99 was developed specifically for USA customers, and losing your main client is always challenging.
