Warne Releases New HyperLite Scope Rings
Warne has a new product line of lightweight scope rings. The HyperLite series rings are made from “MagnaFusion” alloy, which Warne claims is 35% lighter than similar aluminum rings. Let’s take a closer look at the features.

- Warne Introduces the New Affordable Skyline Lite Bipod

- New Warne Rifle and Pistol Magazine Extension Line
While the HyperLite rings cut down on weight, they do not skimp on features. The MagnaFusion alloy incorporates magnesium and mimics the strength profile of 6061 aluminum. A pair of 30mm medium height rings weights just 2.48 ounces. The rings are finished with Cerakote and include recoil lugs. While they are designed for picatinny bases, they are also compatible with Weaver bases.
There are nine models in the HyperLite series:
1-inch (low, medium, high) MSRP $109.99
30mm (low, medium, high) MSRP $109.99
34mm (low, medium, high) MSRP $119.99
As of writing, all models were on sale for $10 off of the list price. All models are designed and made in the USA. The HyperLite rings are in stock now on the Warne website and available for order.

Magnesium alloys are indeed ~35% lighter than aluminum, but also about 35% less stiff. Probably fine for scope rings, but your overall mass delta is only about 1.2 oz.
Nice.
