Walther Releases Six Handguns At TEQ Fest
Walther’s national TEQ (Trigger, Ergonomics, and Quality) Fest event was held from September 20-22 “celebrating the brand’s commitment to performance and engaging customers across the country.” The event took place at several dozen participating dealers from coast to coast and showcased the launch of six new additions to the Walther pistol lineup, from modern refreshes to brand-new models.
WMP SD
The WMP SD claims the title of the first factory semi-automatic chambered .22 WMR with a threaded barrel (1/2x28) for suppressor use. With similar ballistics to the 5.7 but much less expensive to shoot, this one could be fun. The Walther WMD comes optics-ready with two 15-round magazines and two MRD adapter plates. MSRP is set at $599.
PDP F-SERIES PRO
The PDP F-Series Pro is an optics-ready 9mm duty pistol featuring Walther’s F-series Dynamic Performance Trigger with a reduced grip and natural grip angle. This is a great option for those with smaller hands or interested in a concealed-carry gun. The pistol also features an aluminum magwell and basepads and will come in 3.5” and 4” barrel options. The PDP F-Series Pro ships with three 18-round magazines for an MSRP of $899.
PDP PRO-E
The Walther PDP PRO-E is a new optics-ready feature-rich 9mm available with either a 4” or 4.5” barrel. The pistol includes a flat-faced polymer trigger shoe, aluminum magwell, and a performance texture for a secure and comfortable grip under any condition. The PDP PRO-E comes with three 20-round magazines and an MSRP of $779.
PP
The Walther Polizeipistole (Police Pistol) was introduced in 1929 but bid farewell to the community in 2000. The double/single action icon is back, honoring its classic safety/decocker design while taking advantage of modern manufacturing and quality control advancements including upgraded materials and finishes.
The Walther PP is available in .380 and .32 ACP and both come in either a black or stainless steel finish. Each PP ships with two magazines and MSRP on any variant comes to $969.
PPK/S SD
Walther’s new PPK/S in .32 ACP is the first centerfire PPK model to come with a threaded barrel standard from the factory, which makes this one pretty exciting in my book. James Bond had a fake suppressor with a little nub inserted into the barrel to make it look the part, but now you can have the real thing. Thanks Walther, it’s about frickin time!
Like the PP, the PPK/S also features a rotating safety/decocker and comes in a black or stainless steel finish. Two 7-round magazines are included for an MSRP of $1099.
PDP PRO-X PMM
The PDP PRO-X PMM is a collaboration between Walther and Parker Mountain Machine, fitting the PDP-PRO with a custom compensator at the end of a 4” slide and seamlessly integrated into a 5” frame with full dust cover. The pistol features Walther’s Dynamic Performance Trigger and an aluminum magwell. It is available in a full-size configuration with three 20-round magazines or a compact grip with the same number of 18-round magazines. Both versions carry an MSRP of $999.
It’s always great to see new faces and updates to familiar ones. Do any of these new offerings from Walther suit your particular needs or perhaps have been something you’ve hoped to see for a while? Let me know in the comments below.

And not a paddle mag release in sight. Shame on you for bowing down to the inferior button crowd, Walther. Good that you can still find PPQ M1's and P99's on occasion. Wish I had the money for one of the commemorative P99 AS's.
I always heard that the PPK .380 was almost useless with a suppressor because the simple blowback allowed almost all the sound to escape the ejection port. Is the .32 any better?
