POTD: Zero Compromise ZC840 + Special Forces Sniper
Photo Of The Day and we have some really cool images from the 2023 Menton Sniper Competition. Zero Compromise Optics (ZCO) is a company that specializes in the manufacturing of high-end optics, particularly rifle scopes. The company is known for its commitment to producing premium-quality optics with no compromises on performance. A few years ago we reviewed their Zero Compromise ZC527 Scope.
Precision Rifle Series: Gas Gun vs Bolt Action – Which is better?
In 2023 I’m going to give Gas Gun Precision Rifle Series a go in a few competitions, to see what a DMR-style rifle and myself can accomplish together. All the experts have always told me that gas guns aren’t accurate enough. Bolt actions are always going to be more accurate, period. Now, I’m not saying they are wrong, but I like to try things out myself. Preferably with help from friends. Our results can be found in this article, which is not intended to be scientific. Take it for what it is, a fun day at the range with some interesting discoveries. Can a gas gun beat a bolt-action in terms of precision, or is the author on very thin ice here? Let’s see!
Welcome to the Jungle - Zero Compromise Optics ZC527 Jaguar
It is time for another project from German GunWorks, the Zero Compromise Optics ZC527 Jaguar. The basis for this rifle is a Haenel RS9 long-range rifle in .338 Lapua Magnum. More or less everything was revised by the Swabian company, for instance, they replaced all the Allen screws with Torx. Furthermore, the rifle was disassembled and blasted to make a perfect surface for a new custom Cerakote finish. It’s important to take care of the layer thickness of the new coating so that tolerances can be kept.
POTD: The Zeiss LRP, ZCO 527 and Kahles 525i Reticles – 2000 Yards
Photo Of The Day: Recently Zeiss Optics released a new line of long-range precision riflescopes with impressive features for use in long-range competition or hunting. Here we’re going to take a look at their 5-25×56 version. According to Zeiss, they are first with an elevation of 40.7MRAD or 140MOA. On top of the new Zeiss LRP riflescope, there are also pictures from the Zero Compromise ZCO 527 and the Kahles 525i, all provided by MK Machining.
POTD: Austrian Special Forces Sniper with HK417P and ZC527
In 2019 TFB were the first to discover the new Heckler & Koch HK417P model. To the best of our knowledge, this is the rifle we’re looking at in the front row. The HK417P was made for Austria and is a combination of the HK417 assault rifle and G28 precision rifle. It is a semi-automatic only rifle.
TFB Review: Zero Compromise ZC527 Scope and Spuhr SP-6602 Mount
A friend of mine bought a Zero Compromise ZC527 (that means 5 to 27 power magnification) riflescope and a Spuhr mount for his Ritter & Stark 6.5 Creedmoor rifle. Before he used it himself he gave TFB the opportunity to test and review it, and the results can be found in this rather long article (2800+ words and pictures).
