Mossberg has dropped a new 12-gauge autoloading shotgun for the waterfowl hunting crowd – the 940 Pro Field. The 940 has been very popular with pro-shooters like Jerry Miculek and now the same capabilities that the 940 brings to the competition world can be had out in the field bringing down those delicious birds from the sky to your table. The new shotgun brings greater durability, less cleaning, and better ammunition compatibility than standard shotgun models.

A worldwide leader in ammunition, Federal, has announced an addition to their Black Cloud line with a new 20 gauge option for waterfowl hunters. Their Black Cloud TSS product offers a 60/40 mix of Tungsten Super Shot pellets, which are a blend of powdered tungsten and iron, combined with Federal’s elliptical “Flitestopper” pellets. Adding Federal’s rear-opening “Flitecontrol Flex” wad, which purports to provide exceptionally tight patterns, the Minnesota-based ammo maker intends to help hunters bring down ducks and geese with ease. The official press release reads as follows.

Federal Premium has tuned up their classic Speed-Shok line of waterfowl shotgun shells to be even better coming into the fall duck and goose seasons around the country. By expanding into new gauge sizes for consumers and employing better quality components across the board they hope to draw in even more waterfowlers to the Speed-Shok line.

Introduced earlier this year, the SL5 shotgun represents Sauer’s entry into the market of inertia operated semi-auto shotguns. The actual mechanism of this shotgun is designed in cooperation with Italian Breda company. Sauer engineers built the rest of the gun around the Breda action.
