TFB Review: Vortex Razor 4.5-27 vs 6-36 Comparison
Last month, I wrote about the brand new Vortex Razor Gen III and saw a number of upgrades from the previous generation of optics. It may seem like a large optic, but the Razor 6-36 does a number of things really well. Over the last month, I have been asked a number of times how it compares to their other offering which is the 4-27 Gen II optic. I have a couple of these optics and they are great choices for the money, but they are slightly different from the newer 6-36 variant. Having both variants to compare on rifles side by side makes this relatively easy to look at pros and cons with both models. Let’s take a closer look at the Vortex Razor 4-27 vs 6-36.
TFB Review: Vortex Razor HD Gen III 6-36×56 FFP Scope
In the world of high-end optics, there are a number of options to choose from. Whether it’s German, Japanese or American companies building high quality of glass, there are a number of options on the market today. Vortex has just dropped their latest Razor HD Gen III variant with their new 6-36×56 FFP optic. This is the second optic to come out from Vortex in the HD Gen III line up after their Razor 1-10 optic I reviewed awhile ago on TFB. Let’s take a deeper look at the Vortex Razor HD Gen III 6-36×56 FFP scope.

This new riflescope balances your field of view with great magnification and a first focal plane reticle that makes for a great sight picture.
TFB Review: Vortex Razor HD GEN III 1-10×24 Scope
Back in October, I did a review on the Razor HD 1-6 GEN II from Vortex Optics and overall it was a fantastic option. At the time, it was one of the nicest LPVOs I’ve tested and owned. Fast forward to SHOT Show when Vortex unveiled their new Razor HD GEN III 1-10×24 optic and I immediately had questions. From the initial specs, I was rather confused how Vortex managed to create 10x of magnification without making the optic longer in overall length. I was incredibly interested, so Vortex was nice enough to send out a review sample for me to try out. Over the last three months, I have been testing it and have had enough trigger time to figure out an overall opinion. Let’s dive into the specs and my thoughts on the Vortex Razor 1-10.
The One Rifle I'd Want For The Rest Of My Life
Last year, I wrote an article about what handgun I would choose if I could only own one handgun and had to get rid of everything else. Typically, this will be a conversation I have with like-minded shooters at dinner and then we will debate the rest of dinner about our choices. Deciding on a rifle was a bit tougher for me than the handgun just because there are so many options depending on your needs. Let’s dive into the one rifle I’d want if I could only have one for the rest of my life.
TFB Review: Vortex Razor HD 1-6X24 Gen II-E
In the world of low power variable optics (LPVO), there are countless choices for whatever budget you’re working with. I have tried out other options before but have never tried a higher-end LPVO for an extended period of time. After a lot of debating, I decided to purchase a short AR10 and needed an optic for the gun that would suit its overall size and caliber. I ended up going with the Vortex Razor HD Gen II-E 1-6×24 over other options for a number of reasons. After having a number of range sessions with the optic, let’s jump into my initial impressions of the Razor.
