As Editor In Chief of The Firearm Blog – the best gun resource in the universe* – I’ve had to transition from an operational role to more of an administrative role when it comes to reviews. Combining those two loves is the SIG Sauer MCX rifle and pistol platform – a system I believe is in many ways superior to the widely regarded AR-15.

SIG Sauer have announced that Orlando Police Department have selected their SIG Sauer Virtus Patrol Rifle. The modular SIG Virtus weighs just under 8 lbs and is available in 5.56x45mm and .300 BLK with a 16-inch barrel and a choice of buttstocks.
