Col. Greg Dillon sat down and talked with us about the small arms that himself and the men he was commanding were faced with during the course of his two tours in Vietnam during the conflict in the 1960s. Everything from AKs, B52s, and RPGs are lightly discussed in this informative episode. Although we don’t get into specifics, Dillion still has an excellent memory of his service days, and provides us with fascinating anecdotes from these wartime experiences.

Veterans Day, A Gesture of Gratitude from TFB

We owe all of you an extreme level of gratitude and appreciation. Although we have Veterans Day in the United States, Commonwealth nations have Remembrance Day, both resulting from the end of hostilities at the closure of the First World War in 1918.

Korean War Veteran And An M1 Get Reacquainted

My friend Tom invited me to a small informal shoot with some of his friends. Dave and Dan were there. You may recall Dave and his WWII Zundapp motorcycle that Dan took gorgeous photos of. There were a few other people there. Mike Sirianni, his son Mike and his grandson who is also named Mike. And there was Sonny. All of them are friends. Mike’s son asked Sonny to bring out some of his firearms so that his dad could get to shoot them one more time. Sonny brought out an M1 Garand, M1 Carbine and a Colt Govt 1911.

WWII Veteran Sniper Still Has Perfect Aim

This video is from 2011.  Ted Gundy is a WWII Veteran. On top of that, he was a sniper. The US Army Marksmanship Unit honors his achievement and skill with the USAMU Black Hat. According to Lt. Col. Daniel Hodne, only 8 black hats have been given to people outside of the USAMU.
