As hard as it is to believe, the film Blood Diamond came out 17 years ago, and while most gun nerds immediately think of the Colt CAR-15 as the defacto firearm from this movie, I’m here to show off it and a few others. This film is actually stuffed to the brim with guns, (23 to be exact) so let’s look at a few of them.

Since the USP Compact was launched in 1996, shooters from all walks of life have coveted it. In this episode of TFB TV, Patrick takes his old concealed carry companion out to the range and spends some time getting reacquainted with the chunky pistol. The USP Compact has deep roots in the USSOCOM Mark 23 Offensive Handgun and shares not only elements of its appearance with the much larger handgun but also much of the technology gained by the Mark 23’s development.

I think it is a safe assumption that most shooters and video game enthusiasts will recognize the shape of the iconic USP series of pistols at a glance. Since their introduction to the market in 1993, they have made their way into movies, TV shows, and video games. The Compact, in particular, became the firearm choice of the TV bad-ass Jack Bauer from 24, and it was also the firearm that Danny Archer carried in Blood Diamond.
