TFB Review: TYPE-A EG-19 Pistol – Part 2

The EG-19 is TYPE-A’s take on a modified Glock 19. It comes with a number of upgrades over a standard Glock 19 that certainly improve the overall shooting experience and feel of the pistol in my opinion. Back in December I first got my hands on the TYPE-A EG-19 pistol and on Wednesday we published the first part of my review of this pistol. This is Part 2 of the TYPE-A EG-19 pistol review.

TFB Review: TYPE-A EG-19 Pistol – Part 1

Back in December I first got my hands on the TYPE-A EG-19 pistol and was pretty enthralled with it. I still like this pistol overall but in the course of the past few months, a few blemishes have formed that make this pistol not as attractive to me. The EG-19 is TYPE-A’s take on a modified Glock 19 as I’m sure you could have guessed from its name. It comes with a number of upgrades over a standard Glock 19 that certainly improve the overall shooting experience and feel of the pistol in my opinion.

TYPE-A EG-19 Pistol – First Impressions

Right before Christmas, I received an exciting call from my local FFL. They had just received a TYPE-A EG-19 with my name on it. Naturally, I dropped whatever “probably important” task I was doing at the time and rushed over there to see this beauty in person. Once I got to my destination and talked to the woman behind the counter, she then retrieved a Pelican case from the back of the store and placed it on the counter in front of me. At first, I thought she must have grabbed the wrong item but then when she unlatched the case and spun the opening to my view, I was delighted to see the EG-19 was within my grasp.

2023 Tactical Games at GTI Load Out – "Pay to Play"

Having just gotten back from my first-ever Tactical Games event, I wanted to put together a write-up on all of the gear I used down at the GTI in South Carolina. I will also be including the prices of all of the gear that I utilized as I feel like I spent a lot of money just to compete at this event. Also, please keep in mind that this was my first event, and I will be doing a follow-up article on lessons learned and how I would tackle my second go around at the GTI Tactical Games. Also, all prices will be MSRP aside from the pistol and ear pro.

TFB Review: TYPE-A EG11 6,000 Round Review

Welcome back to another TFB Review. Today, we will be looking at the extended review of my TYPE-A EG11 pistol from TYPE-A Rifle Company. In the last couple of years, several companies have come out with their version of the high-end 2011-style firearm. Everyone from Dan Wesson, Fowler Industries, Nighthawk, and Wilson Combat has come out with variations of the 1911 double-stack pistol. Back at SHOT Show 2023, BG Defense announced their EG 11, their own variation of the 1911 double stack style firearm. After roughly 8 months and well over 6,000 rounds through this pistol, let’s take a look at the Type-A EG11 pistol.

For the last two years, the gun industry has been a tough place to navigate. Between material shortages and panic buying, certain firearms have been difficult or even impossible to find. Luke C reported earlier this year about the CQBR Block II being released and I have been waiting patiently for about 7 months for this AR pistol. After the weight and price, was it worth it? Let’s take a look at the Type A CQBR Block II.

TFB Review Type A's 10.5 308 AR Pistol – The Shredder of Everything

I can’t really explain why I have wanted to try an AR-10 pistol out but it’s been a long time coming. It’s something about having such a hard-hitting round in a compact package. Let’s be honest, I know some of you are going to say I’m insane for wanting a short 308 AR pistol. I get it, you’d have to be a drunk mad man to own something so concussive in such a small package. All of those are probably valid but don’t jump to conclusions just yet. For the longest time, I kept going back and forth between building an AR-10 pistol and buying one ready to go out of the gate. After looking around for a few months, I came across the Type-A’s 10.5 308 AR pistol. I gave them a call and we figured out a gun that would work for my needs.

TFB Review: Type-A Rifle's 10.5 AR Pistol

In Michigan, it is illegal to have a rifle in your vehicle unless there’s a specific purpose for it. With the current laws, I often will carry a 10.5 AR pistol in my truck locked in a vehicle safe. Usually, this is with me when I am going on trips or long distances. I will also take a handgun but having something else to protect yourself is never a bad way to go.
