TRUGLO Announces New Tac-Pod Carbon Pro Bipods
Since its founding in 1993, Texas-based TRUGLO has developed an extensive product catalog. Although they are probably best known in the firearms world for their tritium and fiber optic handgun sights, they also offer a plethora of other items for hunting, archery, and more. From a variety of scopes and red dots to shotgun choke tubes, splatter targets, and bowfishing accessories, TRUGLO brings a plethora of sporting and outdoor solutions to the table. One such product line is their Tac-Pod adjustable bipod series. With MSRPs ranging from $35-$60, these are an inexpensive alternative to the industry’s more top-shelf options, many of which can go for considerably more money. Now with a July 15th press release, TRUGLO is introducing two new additions to their bipod menu: a “Carbon Pro” version available in short (6″-9″) and long (9″-13″) lengths.

Pawn Shop Steal: Customized CZ 75 B Omega Pistol
Have you ever seen someone snag a great deal and wondered what kind of perfect storm had to happen for it to exist? TFB reader and Reddit user Zach happened across a CZ 75 B Omega pistol in a local pawn shop for quite a steal, at $280. While it’ll be hard to match Matt E’s $49 Remington 870 pawn shop find, Zach’s deal is quite impressive given that a CZ Omega has a new MSRP of $587 according to CZ’s website. Zach’s new-to-him pistol isn’t a new, off-the-line model, but even a lightly used example of a CZ would typically bring considerably more than what he paid.
BOTW: "Dodongo", The AR Pistol
The tenth Installment of Build of the Week was contributed by Hoplopfheil. So long as you are not clearing a room with a teammate, loud and massive muzzle flashes are fun. I am definitely becoming more and more a fan of AR/AK “pistols” as time goes on, especially if I can suppress them. Extra points to Hoplopfheil for naming his weapons; all true weapons should be named…
TruGlo Now Offering TRITIUM PRO Night Sights for Canik TP Series
The Canik TP series of handguns has exploded in popularity over the last few years due to their competition ready quality at an extremely affordable price point. Being that the Canik TP series of pistols come from Century Arms, which is not entirely a household name brand, not many aftermarket parts companies offer accessories for them. One company who has finally jumped on board is TruGlo. You can now purchase from their Tritium Pro line of night sights a set for your TP series pistol.
TruGlo's Second New Optic Series – The OMNIA
TruGlo did not just dip their toes into the scope world, they at least went waist deep. While the EMINUS series was designed for the longer-range shooter, the new OMNIA series is set up for the modern sporting rifleman. Forgoing the base magnification, the new OMNIA series is set up starting at 1x and working itself to 4x or 6x, model dependent.
TruGlo Goes All-Out on Glass with New EMINUS Tactical Scopes
Not content to have excellent offerings within the fiber optic iron sighted world, TruGlo has opted to apply their sighting expertise in the scope realm. Out of the gate is the first of two series of scopes, the EMINUS series of optics, where “Eminus” means, “from a distance.”
Lightning Look: Shark Precision Suppressors
One of the main reasons the American firearms industry is so successful is that, with the current market energy, smaller businesses have a shot at the big time. With an influx of sales, revenue and customers, the accessory markets are allowed to innovate and bring products to market that may not be possible in more stagnant times. While I hesitate to call silencers “firearms accessories”, small manufacturers like Shark Precision are finding new solutions to current challenges.
New Truglo Offerings for the Ruger American Pistol

New Sig Sauer P227 Equinox
Sig Sauer added another P227 .45 ACP option this year at SHOT Show. Called the Equinox, this new P227 comes with a 2-tone slide with a nickel/pewter appearance. The Equinox also comes with a polished trigger, hammer, and control levers for those who like their handguns to be more expressive. The combination of the 2-tone slide and polished controls provides a nice contrast for visual effect.
Truglo Glock 43 Sights
Truglo announced the company is now selling sights that are compatible with the Glock 43 pistols. These sights, the TFX, use a combination of tritium and fiber optics to give a shooter a bright set of dots to use when aiming the handgun. Additionally, the front sight has a white ring around the rod to further enhance the shooter’s ability to focus on the sight.
Self Illuminating Fiber-Optics with TruGlo TFX
We’ve written about TruGlo’s TFO sights before. At SHOT this year, they were showing off the next generation named the TFX.
