RISE Armament recently announced the release of the Watchman XR rifle in 22 ARC. Built for shooters who require highly accurate, extended-range shooting for hunting varmints, whitetails, and antelope, as well as Precision Rifle Series (PRS) competitions and tactical/law enforcement applications. RISE also introduced the Reliant trigger for REM 700 and clone actions. Let’s take a look at the RISE Armament Watchman XR 22 rifle.

Jard Inc. is known for making aftermarket triggers for 20 different rifle manufacturers plus AR, AK and FALs. Jard recently announced that their Browning X-Bolt adjustable trigger also includes a three-position safety with a bolt-lock feature. Jard claims that this is the lightest X-Bolt trigger on the market, has order options for 6 to 46-ounce trigger pull weights, and is a drop-in trigger without requiring gunsmithing. KE Arms makes more than just lowers and uppers, they also make virtually every other AR part you could imagine replacing including their very own line of aftermarket drop-in style triggers. Their new RTS-2 Rekluse trigger is the latest evolution of KE Arms’ triggers including their Sear Link Technology triggers. This new version includes an improved design to include a full mil-spec power hammer spring, and a more sealed design to protect against debris.

This year at NRAAM 2023, Luke C stopped by the CMC Triggers booth to check out their new “Yella Jacket” CCT Single Stage AK47 triggers. These two new improved variants of the near drop-in ready triggers feature stronger hammer pressures to compensate for some of the harder primers found on certain brands of 7.62x39mm ammunition. Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Rimfire Report! This ongoing series is all about the rimfire firearm world and its many different types of guns, gear, ammunition types, and history. Last week we departed from our normal rimfire coverage to talk about a slightly related ammunition called Pinfire ammunition. Those of you who have picked up one of Geissele’s Super Duty rifles will probably know all about how well regarded the SSA-E X trigger is. Being the GLOCK traditional/missionary type of owner, I am probably the last person who should write a news release about a custom trigger. Two-Stage triggers still remain a popular choice for many riflemen due to their unique characteristics that make them great to run in high-stress situations or in precision applications where a predictable and consistent trigger pull is needed. The recently revived Bushmaster Firearms has just introduced their new DM2S Dedicated Marksman 2 Stage Trigger. The new trigger will feature a standard installation and will be compatible with all mil-spec AR-15 lowers.

Apex delivers an ever-expanding lineup of reliable and high-quality trigger kits for various types of pistols. On August 10th they announced that they would be adding a new CZ P-10 Action Enhancement Trigger Kit to their existing lineup.  The P-10 is CZ’s offering to the compact striker-fired community and is often employed as a concealed carry pistol. The Springfield Hellcat has proven a popular choice for concealed carry pistols since its release. The Hellcat features either an 11+1 flush fit magazine or a 13+1 extended magazine depending on what you choose to carry. Apex Tactical has just released its new Action Enhancement Trigger for the Springfield Hellcat which is said to significantly improve the trigger pull for the micro-compact pistol.

Rise Armament is coming out with a 14-inch AR pistol that comes with a telescoping brace along with a 16-inch rifle variant. These will be available in a month’s time from Rise Armament. The wait is over – Geissele has finally released their Super MPX SSA trigger for SIG’s popular pistol caliber carbines and pistol caliber pistols. While the OEM SIG MPX trigger is certainly above average for a carbine, pulling a G trigger for the first time really is an eye opening experience. Pricing is set at an MSRP of $350 which makes me want to curl up into the fetal position.
