Indy Neidell, the host of “ The Great War” YouTube channel, has announced about his plans to start a new project similar to The Great War but telling about the WW2 in the same week by week fashion. This time they are planning to make it a much larger project covering a wide variety of topics. This new project is called TimeGhost and it will be a collaboration of up to 10 famous YouTube channels.

The U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, Modle of 1903, commonly called the “Springfield” to this day for its close association with the government arsenal has a long, storied, and well-documented history. The weapon faithfully served through two World Wars and numerous lesser ones and has a reputation for stout service and faithful reliability – a fact not lost on the new Army Air Service.

Burgeoning channels The Great War and C&Rsenal continue to expand their partnership on coverage of the First World War in ever more interesting ways. While C&Rsenal focuses on individual weapons in their deep-dive “Primers”, The Great War continues to put their use into an extremely large picture perspective. Fortunately for us, we do not have to parts the micro and macro by watching both and the two channels partner on live streaming episodes that give a broader view with details of weapons from individual countries in World War One.

Drones are a huge boon to the filmmaking world. Coupled with high-quality small cameras, drones can and do capture breathtaking footage of the world’s modern-day events. I would say there has not been a writer’s event that I have been to where there has not been a drone. The steady hum reassures us that all is being captured from above.

There must be something Italian in the waters. Berettas seem to be popping up all over the place, this time the progenitors of the US M9 Service Pistol. C&Rsenal (a clever name for a Curio & Relic YouTube channel) has their hands on two rare service pistols from a century prior to today, the Beretta Models 1915 and 1917.

I, for one, and am pleased to see the steady expansion of The Great War’s video library. It goes to show the power of Patreon campaigns and crowd-sourcing to back up and support great content creators who might otherwise not being able to afford producing. As a result of this, The Great War has been steadily expanding their content including a great series titled “Who Did What in World War 1?”

I recently gushed on what I consider one of the best YouTube channels out there *that is not guns-only, but is highly correlated. The Great War is a fantastic project documenting World War 1 week by week exactly as it happened 100 years later.

World War 1 is often regarded as one of the most barbaric conflicts of all time, given its implementation of mass-casualty weapons including poison gas, full use of artillery, machine guns, and the brutal depictions of trench warfare. While true, this simplistic overview (especially the version taught in American schools) vastly oversimplifies the conflict.
