The Pakistani company POF makes some of the most affordable license-built MP5 clones. The POF SMG is a faithful reproduction of the HK MP5, but the SMG PK is… not. It’s more like MP5 fan fiction. In this episode of TFBTV, Hop takes a look at the POF SMG PK and talks about the MP5 “Reverse Stretch” pattern; a type of homebrew MP5 that combines elements of the full size and the MP5K.

It’s finally here: James Reeves reviews the Kel-Tec P15 that Kel-Tec teased at SHOT Show 2022, and it’s actually starting to roll out from the factory. The P15 is the smallest, lightest doublestack 9mm handgun on the market and it might be the cheapest micro-compact, too, for $450 MSRP including factory night sights. In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves asks “is the Mk18 reliable?” For the unaware, the Mk18 is, more or less, a 10.3″ barrel short and compact AR-15 or M4 that is common in the special operations community. There have been criticisms of the platform over the years and calls for its replacement – but does it really need replacing? To answer the question, James reviews military and government reports about experiments on the Mk18 and discusses them. Additionally, and just for fun, the TFBTV crew and Pensacola Police Department SWAT throw together an informal torture test to see how tough the Daniel Defense DanielDefense and Colt full-auto M4 lower combo – similar to what would be issued to the special forces operators who use this setup – really is.

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is at Zastava Oruzje in Serbia to try out a number of their most famous (and infamous) small arms. In today’s video, James has the opportunity to shoot the M21. The Zastava M21 is similar to the Zastava M90 but it has a few changes making it something slightly different. However, it might be the lightest recoiling 5.56mm rifle made. James interviews a Zastava engineer to get the details on how the Zastava M21 works the way it does.

Three optics that fit that mounting footprint are the Holosun EPS Carry, the Crimson Trace RAD Micro Pro, and the SIG-Sauer Romeo Zero Elite. Which one is the best? In this episode of TFBTV, Hop tries to get a read on the Springfield Armory Saint Victor in .308 Winchester. Springfield’s big bore AR is one of the lightest factory AR-10/LR-308 pattern rifles on the market, but some sacrifices had to be made to get it below 8 lbs. A strange combination of features makes it hard to tell what the Saint Victor .308 is best suited for. Hunting rifle? DMR? Or is it a throwback to the battle rifles of the Cold War period?

For this episode of TFBTV, Hop and Luke traveled to New Hampshire to check out the new MCX Spear LT at the new SIG Experience Center and range. The new lighter-weight version of the MCX incorporates features from both the M5 Spear NGSW rifle and the original MCX Virtus. It’s also available in a new caliber option… but I’ll let Phil Strader tell you about that.
