TFB Weekly Web Deals 43: Get Lucky with Post-St. Paddy's Day Deals

Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 43! I hope everyone’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend was not only full of many libations and good conversations, but also plenty of shooting! The Irish certainly had their own influence on the modern firearms culture we see in the world today and in fact, the Irish were some of the first people to document the use of arquebuses by German mercenarians operating in Dublin in the latter half of the 15th century. A more familiar and modern influence from Ireland comes from John Rigby when he founded John Rigby & Co Gunmakers Limited in 1775. Today Rigby makes very high-end hunting rifles and is now under the ownership of the L&O Group, which also owns Blaser, Sauer, and Mauser. Anyway, this has nothing to do with any of the deals that we’ve gathered for you today, but I did want to share this tiny bit of Irish firearms history with you all! Enjoy this week’s deals in TFB Weekly Web Deals 43!

TFB Weekly Web Deals 42: Guns, the Universe, and Everything

Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 42! Any science fiction nerd out there probably has their mind permanently tainted by that number and its association as the answer to “Life the Universe and Everything” at least according to the 1978 Douglas Adams novel Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I’m not insulated from those thoughts which leads me to remember the enjoyable 2005 film adaptation and its inclusion of the “Point of View Gun” (this was not present in the novels). This other golden gun was in the shape of a rifle and its blast when directed at its victims could make them see things from the shooter’s point of view. Where am I going with this? Seeing things from someone else’s point of view is a handy social skill to have and one that I think is becoming increasingly rare even within the firearms industry. I don’t want to get too preachy, but maybe next time instead of getting into an internet argument with a stranger, you can just share some nice sales on guns and ammo with one another?

TFB Weekly Web Deals 40: New Year, New Builds

Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 40! We’re nearing the end of the first quarter of this year and I’ve got about 5 different unfinished project guns I’m working on right now. This week we’ll be featuring some of the deals I’ve come across on parts, tools, complete and stripped uppers, lowers, and other parts that you might want to throw on a build for yourself, a friend, or a loved one just getting into firearms.

TFB Weekly Web Deals 39: Two is One and One is None

Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 39. Ahh yes, the power of redundancy. While there is something to be said for the equally valid “buy once cry once” phrase, I often find that “two is one and one is none” is far more applicable when it comes to firearms and equipment. Good optics break, great weapon lights fail, firearms components break, and as we are all too familiar with, batteries run out sometimes at the most inopportune times. For TFB Weekly Web Deals 39, I’ve found some deals on firearms components and accessories you might want to keep a spare of so you’re not missing out on precious range time while your stuff is out of commission or being put under warranty service.

TFB Weekly Web Deals 37: 5 Items That Are Always in My Range Bag

Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 37. With the start of the new year, I had a little bit of precious downtime to take care of some administrative tasks with my gun gear. This meant cleaning out my range bag. The range bag I personally use the most is a 5.11’s Range Ready Bag 43L. This bag has been with me for a long time and has served me well, has a ton of space for a lot of guns, ammunition, and of course all the other random tools and gear that are almost always with me. If you’re looking for a fresh start to your range trips, you might want to consider picking one of these up – it will probably last you a lifetime. Today for TFB Weekly Web deals 37 we’re going to take a look at 5 items that are always in my range bag that go beyond the basics (eye pro, ear pro, IFAK, etc).

TFB Weekly Web Deals 35: Upgrading Your AR-15

Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 35. The holiday season always brings in a lot of new guns and new gun owners. Whether you’re picking up your first AR, or your 15th AR, there’s always room for improvement from the base product unless you’re already paying top dollar for one. If you’re looking for a couple of great examples of what TFBTV staff does with this concept, you can check out one of our more recent videos where TFBTV’s James Reeves and Hop are in the midst of a build-off where they’re working with a budget of just $1,250. If you like the idea of taking a basic AR-15 rifle and upgrading it yourself or you just happen to find yourself with an extra rifle this holiday season, these deals on firearms parts are sure to help you make those upgrades and save you a few bucks in the process. We’ll also be throwing in a handful of other neat deals I’ve found across the web from this last week. Happy building everyone!

TFB Weekly Web Deals 34: Thanksgiving Leftovers

Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 34! Just last week we were able to gain access to some long-awaited savings with plenty of Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals to be had at. Personally, I took the opportunity to get free shipping on some ammunition, picked up a handful of gifts for friends to get ahead of the Christmas rush, as well as picked up barrels for some upcoming projects. All in all, not the best Black Friday/Cyber Monday I’ve seen but not bad either. If you missed out on some of these deals, then there really isn’t too much to worry about as a lot of the companies that held sales have extended them well into the month of December and today we’ll be bringing you some of the Thanksgiving leftovers we’ve found from some of our favorite online firearms retailers.

TFB Weekly Web Deals 32: Bipods For Your Favorite Rifle

Hello and welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 32! Bipods have been around nearly as long as firearms. Even primitive hand cannons made as far back as the 12th century have detailed records showing that these gargantuan blasters made use of simple poles or long sticks to stabilize the shooter’s position prior to the shot. Today we do pretty much the same thing (in some cases literally the same thing) but for most of us the trusty bipod has become a more nuanced piece of equipment with some people looking for the lightest possible option, and others looking for the toughest bipods that the planet has to offer. No matter what you’re after, we’ve compiled a handful of great options that are on sale so hopefully, you can round out your latest build with a simple piece of accurizing equipment that you can take with you anywhere your rifle goes.

TFB Weekly Web Deals 31: Dedicated .223/5.56 Riflescopes

The venerable .223 Remington cartridge is considered by many to be the most popular and common in-use cartridge across the United States for rifles. The intermediate cartridge was designed in 1962, received SAAMI certification in 1963, and was eventually developed into the 5.56×45 NATO cartridge in the 1980s as SS109 or M855. Whether you use .223/5.56 as your go-to cartridge in an all-around peace-of-mind firearm or you a dedicated pest control or traditional hunter, having accurate shot placement is made a lot easier with dedicated optics that take the guesswork out of your holdover. Today for TFB Weekly Web Deals 31, we’ll be taking a look at some fresh fall deals on optics specifically designed around the .223 Remington cartridge.
