Although guns and gear are usually almost always on my mind (it’s kind of my job) this last month has really ramped up my thoughts on the type of gear and guns I choose to run for various competitions – I almost never use the same thing and this will also be true for Finnish Brutality where I’ll be using gear I’ve never worn and a type of rifle I’ve never fired or even held. I’m sure everything will be fine! For the rest of you here at home though, you can make a timely restock on some spare parts, ammunition, or maybe even pick up a gun you’ve been eyeing up for a while. Welcome to TFB Web Deals 59! As in past weeks, we’ve stopped by again to gather up some of the best deals from around the web for guns, gear, and accessories. This can include anything from actual firearms to things like regular ammo bundle deals, magazine deals, and of course, some odds and ends we’ve found deals on throughout the week that we’ve used ourselves. Lately, I’ve been trying my best to keep my ammunition reserves at a respectable level and ammunition is actually not that bad right now in terms of availability and cost (at least compared to the hell that was the COVID years). The full force of the intense summer heat is out this year and I’m looking for almost any way to stave off the sweat before we finally make it to fall. One way I’ve found that works well is to just not go outside and instead take more time to restock and refine my gear and gun selection for following range trips. This summer has been one almost completely dominated by 9mm and 5.56/.223 for me (with the obvious addition of copious amounts of .22LR in my specific case). However, there are always a few odds and ends I’m looking for that I’m really just waiting for the right price on. I’ve included a couple of my personal selections down below as well as recommendations from both our TFB staff and our faithful TFBTV Discord supporters. Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 56. With the Independence Day celebration over and your monthly paychecks worth of mag dumps accomplished in celebration of our great nation’s birth, it’s probably time to restock on some ammo and gear, and maybe even pick up a few new guns. There are a lot of hot releases to come later this summer which usually means that the current latest offerings of firearms, and optics will probably start to get deeply discounted as these newer options start hitting the online market. If you want evidence of that, just look at what happened to the price of the Trijicon SRO right before the Holosun 507COMP came out! While it’s not the latest and greatest (and I’m already starting to think that my 507COMP will permanently replace my SRO), the SRO is still a fine offering if you can get one on a deal and I do still think it’s leagues ahead of any other wide window red dot offering on the market in terms of raw durability. Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 55! Tomorrow is Independence Day, so on behalf of everyone at TFB and TFBTV, Happy Independence Day! While this day is about celebrating the birth of our great nation, it’s also an excellent opportunity to take stock of everything we have because of not just the founding of this country, but the great people who came before us who have helped forge it into the best nation on this planet. Our founding fathers would have been unable to help instigate such a founding were it not for the arms, ammunition, and skilled gunsmiths they had around then. While the principles and purpose of the 2nd Amendment have not changed, the arms, ammunition, and gunsmiths have and we’re fortunate today to have access to some of the most cutting-edge firearms technology available on the planet, partially due to the fact that our access to arms is baked right into our nations constitution. In honor of that, and as is our custom here at TFB, let’s help celebrate our nation’s birth by sharing some great deals we’ve found for arms, ammunition, and gear in TFB Weekly Web Deals 55.

As we gear up for Independence Day this year, let’s stop and take a minute to be thankful for this great country we have – specifically because of arms. There is an interesting quote that floats around on the internet that I often like to think of when it comes to the very core concept of the 2nd Amendment: “God made men, Sam Colt made them equal.” This quote, even though it was part of a marketing campaign, just reaffirms the idea that, at least in this country, firearms are one of the key concepts of maintaining one’s freedom regardless of what type of life you’re born into. Finding and buying affordable arms and ammunition used to be a heavy investment, usually involving going to a local gun show or perhaps even a county gun show. Fast forward to today and we’ve got more options than you can count in terms of places you can buy arms and ammunition for relatively decent prices. So in the spirit of 1776, and the founding of this great nation, we’re going to be taking a look at a bunch of deals from around the net that are popping up in anticipation of this year’s Independence Day celebration.

Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 50. As most of you probably know, I run a weekly series here at the blog that is completely dedicated to rimfire ammunition and firearms. I’ve recently come across a bunch of new rifles and handguns that I’ll be cycling through over the next couple of months and this has got me shopping for a bunch of new components, optics, ammunition, and other gear that I’m going to need to get the reviews done properly. This week’s edition of TFB Weekly Web Deals will be entirely dedicated to rimfire gear, ammunition, firearms, and accessories. Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 49! COVID hit the firearms industry pretty hard but I think the most frustrating part about all of the shortages for me personally was the quick disappearance of primers and other reloading components. It didn’t take long into 2020 for me to quickly burn through nearly my entire inventory of reloading components and then I was left hunting at various local gun shows for overpriced trays of pistol primers. Long story short, I eventually gave up because it was much easier and far less expensive just to buy bulk ammo when I could find it. Fast forward to today and I’m now starting to notice a handful of primers show up and actually stay in stock. They’re wildly overpriced compared to the prices we paid even just a few short years ago, but at least they’re available again. Today is mostly a reloading-focused roundup so hopefully you guys can find something below that’ll help you fire that rusty reloading press back up.

Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 48. As my firearms inventory has grown, so too have my purchasing behaviors. When my collection was relatively small and I had very little to work with in terms of cash, I often gravitated towards buying things that could serve multiple purposes within my inventory. This is why things like QD Picatinny mounts, and simple attachment systems like M-LOK or even KeyMod are so popular – you can take your gear off one gun and slap it on another. However, now I find myself wanting to just have my gun set up and not have to mess with it anymore. Now each gun not only comes along with the price tag of the firearm itself, but now I usually factor in the cost of any optics, lights, reloading dies, slings, and other accessories that I might want to use for that gun specifically. This is mostly so I don’t have to keep re-zeroing optics, and re-attaching bipods and suppressors, but I also think there is something quite rewarding about having a truly “finished” build that you never really have to mess with. Anyway, deals like the ones I’ve found today usually help offset some of the pain of purchasing all this stuff and hopefully, you can make some use of it too, no matter how you like to kit out your guns.

Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 47! Primary Arms has been a huge supporter of both the blog and the TFBTV YouTube channel for quite some time. I’ve been using Primary Arms to buy gun parts, ammunition, and even whole firearms long before then, so I know they’ve always got great deals on not only the sale and clearance items you’ll see today but also regularly scheduled sales that pop up for only 24 hours. Another great online retailer that I often frequent now for bulk ammunition is Palmetto State Armory. PSA’s new AAC Ammunition brand features some pretty nice 9mm handgun ammunition that I’ve been having great success with that doesn’t break the bank. Specifically their 124-grain FMJ 9mm ammunition. I’ve yet to try any of AAC’s other types of ammunition but I have a couple boxes of different flavors on order already and you can be sure I’ll be writing up reviews for all of these ammunition types. I hope everyone had a nice pleasant Easter weekend and were not only able to get the family out for some nice outdoor activities but were also able to get in some trigger time. One of the coolest fun and most relaxed shooting sports I’ve come across in the last couple of years has been Egg Shoots. An Egg Shoot will vary depending on the local club or match director but the basic premise is simple – Grab a bunch of 22LR rifles and some eggs and start blasting them for points during a timed relay. While the activity still sometimes uses real eggs, with the number of shooters that show up to these events it’s more common these days to see steel or paper targets used instead to reduce both cost and waste. If you want to try out one of these activities but are afraid you won’t be able to find one after Easter, you’re in luck – Egg Shoots are conducted year-round at a lot of different shooting clubs. However, before you head out to play, you might want to stock up on a few supplies for the event. We’ll feature some of those today in TFB Weekly Web Deals 46!

It’s a shame that some of the bigger sales of the year don’t happen until at least Independence Day as I usually use this time to take a full inventory of my guns, gear, and ammo and then either sell off stuff I don’t need or reload on some consumables I am starting to run “low” on.
