Hogue is well known for being one of the leading aftermarket grip providers for all sorts of handguns ranging from duty guns all the way down to the smallest compact defensive handguns. They’ve just announced the introduction of the new HandALL Beavertail Grip Sleeve for the SIG Sauer P365-XMACRO and Taurus GX4 and XL lines of handguns.

One of my favorite pistol releases this year has been the surprisingly good Taurus GX4 micro-compact 9mm pistol. Although the pistol comes with already great factory sights, one of the first things I usually swap out on my pistols is the factory sights in favor of night sights for added versatility. XS sights have announced that they are now offering a wide variety of Taurus GX4 night sights from their popular photoluminescent glow dot sight lineup.

If you were thinking about picking up one of Taurus’ new GX4 pistols but thought the standard black finish was not exciting enough for you, then Taurus has some good news for you. The Taurus GX4 is now available in two new slide finishes – Tungsten and Coyote. The pistols are available now from $410.61 MSRP.

In this episode of TFBTV, Hop pits the Ruger Max-9 against the Taurus GX4 to see which delivers a better value in the micro 9mm handgun category. Both pistols are about the same size and deliver similar capacity, but are otherwise very different. The Max-9 has an optics cut allowing for the mounting of micro red dots, and has a lot of nice out-of-the-box features. The GX4 has a better trigger and a lower MSRP.

Last week Taurus rolled out their new GX4 sub-compact 9mm pistol so of course, some new accessories have been announced including new laser modules from Viridian and holsters from Galco and DeSantis. Taurus has just released what may very well be the most economical sub-compact 9mm pistol on the market so far. The Taurus GX4 is the company’s answer to similar pistols like the SIG P365, Springfield Hellcat, and Ruger MAX-9. I was sent a Taurus GX4 pistol a little over a month in advance of its official unveiling online and I got to put the pistol through its paces, carry it and really see how much value Taurus has put into this brand new pistol. So today I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the new carry piece and hopefully give you a good idea if this would be a viable option to add to your concealed carry rotation.
