Makers of adhesive gun grips, TALON Grips has acquired ArachniGRIP, makers of the SlideSpider for semiautomatic pistol slides. The two companies have had a long working relationship and are now positioned to bring more products to market. Additional details can be found below.

The Springfield Hellcat Pro is one of the latest additions to the micro compact concealed carry pistol market. While the base gun does in fact feature a pretty aggressive textured grip and according to fellow writer Nic L it was “attractive and aggressive without causing discomfort”, I know there are some of you out there who absolutely love super abrasive grip textures for hot summer months. Talon Grips has just announced that they’ve added a new lineup of their well-renowned gun grip tape specifically for the Hellcat Pro. These new Springfield Hellcat Pro grips will be available at the time of this article’s publishing and will be sold starting at $19.99.

The legendary 1911 pistol has been a staple of the American gun culture for over 100 years after its initial introduction. Despite numerous advancements in firearms operation, materials, and ammunition technology, the venerated 1911 still remains a favorite of many firearms enthusiasts. However, the 1911 pistol in its original form is far from perfect. One notable deficiency of the original design for me is the lackluster grip texture you get from stock 1911s. Talon Grips has just come out with a new modular grip system for the 1911 platform that allows adapting the grip of each side of your 1911 without having to shell out thousands of dollars for a custom 1911 or 2011 pistol. Today I’ll be reviewing a complete set of Talon Modular grips that were sent over to me for testing and review and I’ll share my thoughts on Talon’s new grip system.

Talon Grips is a Colorado-based company that specializes in specialty grip tape for not just handguns but a number of firearms accessories. This list includes specially shaped grip tape for the Steyer AUG, various AR15 parts, among numerous other rifles and parts. Earlier this year I purchased a set of Talon grips for my Smith & Wesson M&P Shield in 9x19mm at a local shop in Indiana. The web price is set at $17.99 on the companies website, I think I got it for a little more in the shop. Specifically, the set I purchased was their Granulate texture version. Just a disclaimer, but the grip tape stripe on the slide of the Shield is not included in the Talon Grips purchase.
