TFB Review: New Talon Modular 1911 Grips
The legendary 1911 pistol has been a staple of the American gun culture for over 100 years after its initial introduction. Despite numerous advancements in firearms operation, materials, and ammunition technology, the venerated 1911 still remains a favorite of many firearms enthusiasts. However, the 1911 pistol in its original form is far from perfect. One notable deficiency of the original design for me is the lackluster grip texture you get from stock 1911s. Talon Grips has just come out with a new modular grip system for the 1911 platform that allows adapting the grip of each side of your 1911 without having to shell out thousands of dollars for a custom 1911 or 2011 pistol. Today I’ll be reviewing a complete set of Talon Modular grips that were sent over to me for testing and review and I’ll share my thoughts on Talon’s new grip system.
Talon – Full Auto Safety Selector from Radian Weapons
Are you one of the lucky enough to own or have access to a full-auto M16 or M4 rifle? Do you use select fire ARs for duty? Tired of those janky feeling select fire safety selectors? Radian Weapons has a solution for you in the new full-auto capable Talon safety selector.
Review: AXTS Talon Ambidextrous 45/90 Safety Selector
After testing a couple of ambi safeties that didn’t quite stack up to my expectations, I had come to the conclusion that flipping the lever on the right side of the receiver was the best option for me. Not long ago AXTS reached out to TFB and offered up their Talon ambidextrous 45/90 safety selector for review. Seeing as I have almost always been disappointed with ever ambi selector lever, I didn’t have high hopes; boy was I wrong.
[SHOT 16] Paradigm SRP TALON Remote AR-15 Weapon: Mount Hands On Impression
We blogged about the new Talon Gyro-Stabilized Weapon Mount system from Paradigm SRP last week. It attracted skepticism from readers in the comments who questioned how effective such a system would be in the real world. Yes, it is true that it does not track targets (although the hardware is fully capable of being integrated into such a system) but nor does it need too. It is fully capable of keeping a gun pointed in the desired direction during choppy seas, through turbulent air or over bumpy ground. After seeing it in action today at Industry Day at The Range I have no doubt it works in real world applications.
Bipod Talons by Tactical Supply
I’ve always contended that it is the simple things that make a good product great. Harris and other bipods are excellent, but in true deployed environments, their feet can slip. The Talon, available at Tactical Supply is a dead-simple upgrade that makes the bipod stick into the ground, perhaps at the expense of the ground.
