Tactical Walls has been a regular at Big 3 East and this year they showed off their latest in concealed storage.

A couple of months back I did an install of a Tactical Walls RFID shelf ( along with a write up). I have been pretty pleased with it and have not had any problems with it–I operate it at least twice a day (staging in the morning, and withdrawing at night).

So, you know how one of my special talents is causing things to fail (or to find a fail point in a system)? Now is a prime opportunity to allow my experience to save you some grief…

We’ve published a couple of press releases around the “tactical furniture” concept. The problem is that you can only get so much detail from a press kit, and I always wondered exactly how well they were constructed. They had a small display at Industry Day at the Range as well as the main venue and I was finally got some time to be hands on with the actual product.

If you own a gun, odds are fairly good you use it for home defense. Although not everyone concealed carries, an impressive number of those who buy guns do so for the purpose of protecting their castle. Yes, there are some hunters out there who do not worry about defense, home or otherwise, but they tend to be the exception rather than the rule. This brings up the question of what you do with your gun at home. Do you keep it locked in a safe? Carry it on your body at home? If so, what do you do with it at night?

Yes, yes, yes, I know.  Tactical is probably the most overused word in the gun industry.  But it sells.  That said, there is a current proliferation of home concealment options for your toys, and they do provide you a tactical advantage in some cases.
