Ruger Precision Rifle, the rifle that took the market by storm in 2015 now comes in a customized version in 6.5 Creedmoor. Tweaked by Ruger’s own Custom Shop it features a TriggerTech Trigger, a newly developed barrier stop and an improved firing pin tip geometry to improve functionality for a wide variety of primers.

Ruger has a LOT of new firearms that they are introducing to consumers for 2018, but some of them tower in popularity above others. It was pretty easily recognizable by how long the lines were to shoot and test firearms at SHOT Show’s Industry Day at the Range. The number one firearm on that list is easily the PC9 Carbine that, like a phoenix, has risen again from the ashes.

Ruger, like many firearm companies right now, is gearing up for the most wonderful time of the year in the gun industry: SHOT Show! With that extravaganza of firearms looming in front of us, they have been introducing and announcing lots and lots of new models for 2018. Here are some of the rifle models you will see varying from the diminutive .22 Long Rifle up to the robust .300 Win Mag.

Ruger has taken their wildly popular centerfire rifle, the Ruger Precision Rifle or RPR, and adapted it for small-bore enthusiasts with the newly unveiled Ruger Precision Rimfire chambered in .22 Long Rifle. This iteration of its bigger brother touches on many of the features that draw shooters to the Precision rifle.

When it comes to revolvers, no company is going to re-invent the wheel (or the wheelgun), but they can always be refined. That is exactly what Ruger has done with two of their Redhawks. In both a 4.2″ and 5.5″ barrel configuration they have added in sleeve and shroud barrels to help improve the accuracy.

Ruger no longer has the expansive caliber selection they used to in their No. 1 line-up of single-shot rifles, but they are not letting this model go away permanently either. Ruger recently announced they are chambering their Sporter model in .450 Marlin for those who love a caliber that thumps!

Maglula, the company known for making very simple yet extremely effective magazine loaders and unloaders, has some more tricks up their sleeves to save our thumbs. Currently, they have a magazine loader and unloader in development for the Ruger BX-25 magazine. I, for one, am always on board for tools that make my range experience easier and more efficient. Basically, more time sending lead down range and less time monkeying with my equipment.

Ruger Day is not only coming, it has arrived! Today is October 22nd. If you break that down into a shorthand date of 10/22 you get one of the most widely loved and utilized rimfire rifles in history. Ruger firearms has officially declared October 22nd (10/22) as the official day of Ruger paying homage to their historically-phenomenal, rimfire rifle.

Ruger has always been known for making limited run and special edition offerings of their staple firearm models. Whether it is a Davidson’s Exclusive, a TALO Special Run Make-Up or an original offering that Ruger produces in house, they definitely like to try different things from time to time. In line with that train of thought, they once again have a new camo pattern to get in the festive spirit of the fall and Halloween seasons. You can now buy a LCP, LCP II and SR22 coated in a Harvest Moon or Toxic camouflage pattern.
