Standard Manufacturing DP-12 GEN II Shotgun
Standard Manufacturing introduced the second generation of their DP-12 double-barrel pump-action bullpup shotgun. The differences between the DP-12 Gen II and the first-generation DP-12 shotguns are in the new contour of the barrels and the new patented polymer/aluminum frame. Let’s take a look at the specs and features of the Standard Manufacturing DP-12 Gen II shotgun.
Wheelgun Wednesday: Standard Manufacturing S333 Thunderstruck Gen 3
Welcome back to TFB’s Wheelgun Wednesday! In this installment, we’ll take a look at the just-released third generation of the Standard Manufacturing S333 Thunderstruck revolver. This 8-round .22 WMR revolver has two barrels and fires two rounds per trigger pull. Simultaneous firing of multiple barrels is known as volley fire and when this revolver was first introduced at the beginning of 2019, it was called S333 Volleyfire. Later that same year, they renamed it S333 Thunderstruck. In 2021, Standard Manufacturing released the second generation of this wheelgun that had slightly longer barrels and improved trigger pull. The new S333 Thunderstruck Gen 3 has several design changes and improvements over the Gen 2. Let’s take a closer look.
Standard Manufacturing Introduces Switch-Gun in .22LR
Connecticut-based Standard Manufacturing have expanded their line of folding .22 caliber revolvers with a new version chambered in the ubiquitous .22LR cartridge. Originally introduced in .22WMR the Switch-Gun is Standard Manufacturing’s compact 5-shot revolver. The MSRP of the Switch-Gun is $449.
Standard Manufacturing Introduce the SG22 Pistol
Standing Manufacturing have announced their SG22 pistol, based on the classic Browning-designed Colt Woodsman. The two models feature a button magazine release, walnut target grips and target sights. Both pistols have 6 5/8 inch barrels, one with a blued barrel and frame and the other case colored engraved. The MSRP for the pistols starts at $999. Standard Manufacturing describe the SG22 as a limited production model.
POTD: Standard Manufacturing Switch Gun
We’ve all seen the folding Glocks, but a folding revolver? Well, it’s available from Standard Manufacturing. With a barrel length of .88″ and a capacity of five rounds of .22 Magnum, I think the design is extraordinary and makes much more sense than a collapsible piece of polymer. The Standard Manufacturing Switch Gun is machined from stainless steel and there is also a blued version. It comes with a polymer grip and the trigger is single action.
Standard Manufacturing SWITCH-GUN Folding Revolver
Standard Manufacturing continues exploring unconventional revolver designs. Although their newly released SWITCH-GUN .22 Magnum revolver is not as unusual as the S333 Thunderstruck, it still has a feature not commonly seen in modern revolvers – а spring-loaded folding grip. Let’s take a closer look.
Standard Manufacturing G4S Semi-Auto Rimfire Rifle
Standard Manufacturing has announced a new semi-automatic rimfire rifle called G4S. The company states that their new rifle is “the ultimate in semiautomatic rifles chambered in .22LR” and adds that it is “ideally suited for plinking and precision shooting“. Judging by the receiver shape, location of the charging handle and the design of other elements of this rifle, I think the G4S is likely based on the Standard Manufacturing 1922, a scaled-down rimfire replica of the Thompson submachine gun.
Standard Manufacturing S333 Thunderstruck Gen 2
This weird little gadget is probably one of the most unique and controversial guns released within the past couple of years. In a nutshell, the S333 Thunderstruck is an 8-round double-barreled revolver chambered in .22 WMR that fires two rounds every time the trigger is pulled. I guess we can say that it’s an 8-round but 4-shot revolver. Recently, Standard Manufacturing came up with the second generation of this blaster.
Davidson's Brings Standard Manufacturing on Board
Standard Manufacturing is a relatively young company, having only been around for six years. In that fairly short time, they have produced an eclectic mix of guns. Their unusual lineup includes a number of double-barrel pump and semi-auto shotguns, high-dollar single-action revolvers, a smattering of 1911s, and the particularly odd S333 “Thunderstruck” – which is a double-barrelled eight-round revolver that fires two shots of .22 Win Mag with each pull of its unique two-finger trigger. Davidson’s, wholesaler for Gallery of Guns and more, has added Standard products to their lineup with the following July 2nd press release.
Standard Manufacturing S333 Thunderstruck Now Shipping
If you see this little blaster first time, don’t worry, you don’t have vision issues – it indeed has two barrels. Moreover, it fires two rounds simultaneously upon a trigger pull – a type of firing that is defined as volley fire which is different from the full auto definition. In fact, when Standard Manufacturing first showed this gun (January 2019), it was called S333 Volleyfire. Apparently, they renamed it to S333 Thunderstruck and now you can purchase this pocket artillery piece.
Standard Manufacturing S333 VOLLEYFIRE Double Barrel Revolver
Standard Manufacturing has released a rather weird revolver called S333 Volleyfire. This gun has two barrels with side by side orientation and can simultaneously fire two .22 WMR cartridges with each trigger pull which means it can empty its eight-round cylinder in a matter of four trigger pulls. This revolver is most likely the evolution of the Volleyfire pepperbox that was introduced during the SHOT Show 2017.
Standard Manufacturing SKO Mini 12 Gauge FIREARM
Standard Manufacturing has released the shortest version of their SKO semi-auto shotguns – the SKO Mini. Perhaps the most interesting “feature” of this shotgun is that just like the Remington Tac-14 or Mossberg Shockwave, it is legally considered not a shotgun but a “Firearm” despite the barrel length of 14 3/4″.
Standard Manufacturing SKO SHORTY Semi-Auto Shotgun
Standard Manufacturing has introduced a compact and stockless version of their SKO 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun. Despite the name Shorty, it has an 18″ barrel and 26″ overall length which qualifies it as a shotgun according to the US legislation and doesn’t require any tax stamps to acquire one.
Standard Manufacturing Volley Fire Pistol | SHOT 2017
At the Industry Day Range, Standard Manufacturing has a giant Semi Truck RV and a tent with some new products. They are coming out with a small pocket pistol called the VolleyFire. It is reminiscent of the old Mossberg Brownie. The breech-loading style of the VolleyFire is almost identical down to the top latch mechanism.
