More Bubbles From Spuhr Mounts
If you’re shooting long distances a bubble level is strongly recommended. It will help you keep your shooting platform at a horizontal level reducing the margin of error. Most of the scope mounts from Spuhr have a bubble level built-in at the bottom, shown towards the shooter. Due to its location, it can be a little difficult to spot where the bubble is, so Spuhr has developed a new version called the A-0119.
TFB Review: Schmidt & Bender 3-12×50 PMII Scope with Spuhr QD Mount
This riflescope was my first entry into the world of Schmidt & Bender, and I bought it second hand from a friend for a fair price. The box says 3-12×50 PMII LP P4F DT 1 cm, which means that it has an illuminated P4F reticle with 1 cm clicks. What makes the 3-12×50 PMII interesting is that it’s probably one of the most proven and tested scopes ever, and is or has been used by a long list of Military or Police units around the globe. The scope is used on everything from .308 to .50 caliber weapons.
TFB Review: Schmidt & Bender 3-2756 PMII High Power Riflescope + Aimpoint ACRO C-1
The Firearm Blog continues its mission of reviewing as many of the Schmidt & Bender PM II Riflescopes as possible. Previously we had a look at the top-seller S&B 5-25×56 PM II and the S&B 1-8×24 PM II ShortDot Dual CC, one of the few riflescopes with reticles in both planes. In this review, we’re going to take a closer look at the 3-27×56 PMII, a High Power version with an impressive 9 power magnification range. TFB’s “system” also includes a Spuhr mount and the Aimpoint ACRO C-1 red dot.
POTD: The JJ Rock Co. Covert Rifle System
Photo Of The Day – As a petrolhead, I was of course instantly attracted by the white Lamborghini Aventador V12. I’ve never really considered a private jet, but I hope I’ll be able to own an Italian V8, V10 or V12 some day. What about the firearm? That turned out to be quite interesting as well. It’s the JJR-HRT from JJ Rock Co. from Phoenix, AZ, with a Trijicon riflescope on top.
TFB Review: The 1-8×24 PM II ShortDot Dual CC – from Schmidt & Bender
The Firearm Blog is on a mission to review as many of the Schmidt & Bender PM II Riflescopes as we can. In case you didn’t know PM is short for Police & Military. Previously we had a look at the classic S&B 5-25×56 PM II with the LRR-Mil reticle, with a 5 power magnification range. An “oldtimer” still in young shape.
TFB Review: Zero Compromise ZC527 Scope and Spuhr SP-6602 Mount
A friend of mine bought a Zero Compromise ZC527 (that means 5 to 27 power magnification) riflescope and a Spuhr mount for his Ritter & Stark 6.5 Creedmoor rifle. Before he used it himself he gave TFB the opportunity to test and review it, and the results can be found in this rather long article (2800+ words and pictures).
Custom Lugers: Hakan Spuhr's Weird Relation to Old Luger Pistols
Håkan Spuhr is the man and inventor behind the famous Spuhr scope mounts, the upgrade kits for various Heckler & Koch models, one of the world’s most advanced mounting system for Night Vision and a bunch of other modern military equipment.
Schmidt & Bender 5-45×56 PM II High Power Scope (MSR2 Reticle)
The Schmidt & Bender 5-25×56 PM II riflescope which TFB reviewed recently has been setting the benchmark for optics for almost 10 years. If you follow TFB’s article, and especially photos of Snipers, you know that the Schmidt & Bender optics are very popular among Military and Police Forces around the World. Of course, competition shooters follow where they can and afford it.
The amazing German GunWorks G29 Viper
A year ago TFB reported about German Gunworks’ exceptional G29 Viper project, and some of us saw it in real life at the German EnforceTac exhibition this spring. Neither of the times was it fully finished, but I kept in contact with the owner of the company Mr. Leitermann to make sure that we could see the end result.
