SIG SAUER unveiled their MCX-SPEAR LT series of firearms in the fall of 2022, following up from the prior release of their large-frame SPEAR model. The original SPEAR is essentially the commercial version of their DoD Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW) program entry to replace the military’s aging M4 carbines. The LT versions were added to maintain the design’s advantages while bringing additional options to buyers in further chamberings, such as 5.56 or 300 BLK. Now SIG has announced the release of a new special edition of their popular SPEAR LT, which is offered in Multicam thanks to their partnership with custom Cerakote gurus Blowndeadline, rather than the series’ standard FDE or black. Sturm, Ruger, & Company was founded by William B. Ruger and Alexander McCormick Sturm in 1949, using a small rented machine shop in Southport, Connecticut. Since launching their first pistol 75 years ago, the .22-caliber “Ruger Standard” which led to a series of some of the most successful rimfire handguns in history, the company has grown to be one of the largest and most popular firearms manufacturers in the world. Throughout 2024, they will be commemorating their 75th anniversary with some special editions of several of their products. One of these will be a Diamond Anniversary Limited Edition SR1911 pistol. Liberty Suppressors are making a special run of their Mystic X in Woodland Camo, so now you can both hide and be silent! The special run will only include 25 pieces in the classic M81 Woodland pattern custom Cerakote finish. The special edition suppressors will also be individually engraved to denote where it is in the limited series of 25, which could be of interest to collectors. The Mystic X is a multi-caliber suppressor and rated for over 70 different calibers – from .22LR up to .300 Win Mag.

Smith & Wesson’s line of M&P handguns have sold phenomenally well since the first model was released in 2005. Over its sixteen-year history to date, the collection has expanded to include a vast array of variants and options covering a half-dozen calibers. It has spawned offshoot versions like the Shield and Shield EZ offerings (and now the new Spec Series model), been adopted by hundreds of government/law enforcement agencies and departments globally, and millions have been purchased commercially.

Walther has become something of an old name made new again. This venerable brand was founded in Germany way back in 1886, and began making pistols in 1908. Over the last 113 years, they’ve produced some exceedingly recognizable designs, including the P38 from WWII and the PP/PPK series made famous by the James Bond films.

In honor of the late Jeff Quinn of Gunblast.com, Ruger has released a special edition memorial GP100 to honor his memory. The Memorial GP100 will feature Jeff’s visage complete with his famous beard and signature. In addition, the revolver will also feature a 4.2″ half-lug barrel, stainless steel hammer, non-fluted cylinder, and a gold bead front sight. Ruger only plans on producing 500 of these special revolvers and each will feature a unique serial number ranging from JQ-001 through JQ-500.

The Taurus Judge can easily be described with a single word: awesome.
