The New SOG Provider FX is the latest offering from SOG Knives in the fixed blade category. Photo Of The Day: Modern history in action as we take a look at Swedish Special Forces (SOG) at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan. They are working in collaboration with other nations’ units on the site. The soldiers live inside the airport and have the opportunity to sleep about two to four hours a day according to a SwdishSwedish Armed Forces article. These are official photos from the Swedish Armed Forces and as such, they are pixelated not to reveal certain “abilities” and other details that are considered secret.

As usual, in this very unusual SHOT Show, we are seeing not only new firearms being revealed, but also quite a few other tools and accessories. Here we take a brief look at the 2021 releases from the American knife brand SOG.

In 1952 the Swedish Parachute Ranger School was created. Today they host the Parachute Rangers and the Special Operations Group. As you can imagine the focus is to use small and specialized Ranger units which are capable of operating deep behind enemy lines and inside the enemy-controlled territory. Their motto is “Will, Courage and Perseverance”.

SOG Knives & Tools was in attendance at SHOT Show 2019, and they had quite the assortment of blades to show off for the 1st time! Everything from fixed blades to frame locks to multi-tools were on display for fondling and future purchasing. We’ll try to give you a short and concise rundown of everything new they had on display.

Every year I am amazed to see what is unveiled at SHOT Show not only for the wicked firearms introduced but also the unique tools. No matter how many multi-tools or knives I own, manufacturers like SOG create something that makes me believe I need another one. So let’s take a look at SOG tools that will be rolling out brand new throughout 2018.

SOG, maker of specialty knives and innovative multi-tools, was out at this year’s Industry Day for SHOT Show. They had multiple new items to showcase including some new multi-tools and unique batons.

Almost one month ago TFB, together with the blog Cornucopia, were the first to report that the Swedish SOG and Special Police Units were to get rifles from LWRCI.

There are several independent rumors that LWRC International LLC (USA) has a contract with some of the Swedish Police Units called Reinforced Regional Task Force (Piketen), and most likely other military (SOG) and police units, to replace their aging and somewhat problematic HK 53.

SOG Specialty Knives & Tools LLC announced a number of new knives for 2016. Here is an overview of several of the knives that have been introduced.

Swedish Special Operations Task Group (SOG) units recently participated in an exercise where they defended the island of Gotland against an “adversary” (ie. Russia). The press photos published after the event have many firearm accessories pixelated out. The Swedish firearm community has no explanation why the SOG PR would have done that. Presumably they are using off the shelf illuminating modules, suppressors and scopes.
