I came across this video recently posted by Taofledermaus’ YouTube channel. C&Rsenal brought out a single-shot break action shotgun that has an ALOFS repeating magazine system attached to it. It converts the single-shot shotgun into a repeating shotgun with a tube magazine. Since the action happens so fast, Taofledermaus used his Chronos high-speed camera to film it in slow motion.

In World War I, the Germans developed a secret technology that helped them dominate the skies during 1915 and early 1916. The tech? A device that synchronized the firing of a machine gun with the rotation of an aircraft’s propeller, allowing accurate low-mounted forward-firing weapons on warplanes for the first time.

Even since the resounding success of the “Inside the AK” videos ( Part 1 and Part 2), Larry Vickers has been at it hard with additional cut-away firing models of popular weapon systems. The previous release of the 1911, sponsored by Wilson Combat, was and is an utterly georgous example of shooting, machining, and video editing. Not content to let the people’s wants go unfulfilled, Vicker’s and BCM worked out their latest installment: “Inside the M4”

Just when you think that Taofeldermaus is going to run out of things to shoot with things, he manages to find yet another absurd (yet utterly entertaining) thing to shoot with another thing. This time up, its a Katana or what looks to be a reasonably cheap knock-off sword taking on a 12 gauge.

Often overlooked due to its smaller-caliber sibling, the original AR-10 was a fantastic weapon systems. In fact, if not for the thin barrel (later fixed), it may have likely supplanted the M14 within the US arsenal. For better or worse, it did not come to pass.

Sometimes I just need a break – a break from writing on the latest releases, bemoaning current superfluous trends, and reviewing firearms from across the spectrum. On second thought… I don’t, I love this job especially with the editors allowing the occasional use of snark.

The FAL is a rifle that needs no introduction for our readers. The tilt-locking, short-stroke piston operated 7.62mm Belgian light rifle has been accepted by so many nations and seen so much combat opposite the ubiquitous Soviet AK rifle that it has earned the nickname “the right arm of the free world”.

I, for one, lament the change of the charging handle from the inside the carry-handle position to the rear of the weapon. While it has made it convenient for railed uppers, it is nowhere near as ergonomic.
