#SigP210

Earlier this week in my SIG Sauer range day round up I teased some of photos of SIG Sauer’s compact P210 Carry pistol. The pistol is a response to customer demand for a P210 which can be carried more readily. It was a gun which had been rumoured but I hadn’t expected to see at SIG’s range day – a very pleasant surprise.

We had the pleasure of attending SIG Sauer’s SHOT Show pre-range day, and check out some of their recent new offerings ranging from the P365 SAS all the way up to the MG 338. There’s something for everyone at the range day and we certainly enjoyed working our way along the firing line. Let’s take a look at some of the products SIG brought out.

The SIG P210 is an iconic pistol and while SIG Sauer have been offering the Target version of the pistol for a few years, featuring a match trigger and target-style grips, they have now introduced the US-made ‘P210 Standard’. While the new pistol isn’t hard and fast true to the original Swiss design, it offers some of the ergonomic improvements introduced with the earlier target pistol but focuses on a more practical configuration.

The Royal Danish Army, Hæren, are reportedly about to embark on trials to replace the venerable SIG P210, which has been in Danish service since 1949.

This was my first year attending SIG’s Range Day. It was held at the Clark County Shooting Complex which is located in the northern outskirts of Las Vegas. It is a good hour drive from the Shot Show Range in Boulder City.
