For us, as the sun was setting on Industry Day at the Range, the TFB “Do it In the Dark” machine gun shoot was just about to begin.

[SHOT 2020] Interesting Products at SHOT Show From Smaller Companies
At SHOT Show most of the hype is in the main hall. That’s where you’ll find Glock, Sig Sauer, Magpul, Mossberg, Smith & Wesson, Brownells and the rest of the big boys. Off to the sides and under the main hall are where the small and medium sized companies are found. That’s where you find some of the interesting products at SHOT Show. It could be interesting in a good way, and sometimes in a not so good way. And some products make you wonder why they even spent the money to attend.
[SHOT 2020] Modlite's New ModButton Integrated Light Mount
When reflecting back on my time at Shot Show this year, there were a few big reveals but for the most part it was mainly smaller quality of life innovations at the show this year. One of the more interesting smaller pieces of the show was the collaboration between Modlite and Unity Tactical. Modlite and Unity Tactical came out with one of the first offset light mounts with an integral pressure switch built into the mount. This creates a single contained system that streamlines the overall mounting system.
[SHOT 2020] ProMag Ruger PC9 Stock, M1A Drum Mags and CZ Scorpion Drum Mags
At SHOT Show last year, ProMag released their 50 round drum mags for the Glock. Well this year they debuted drum mags for the M1A rifle and CZ Scorpion, as well as a new windowed AR-15 65-round drum mag. They also just dropped their new stock kit for the popular Ruger PC9.

Blackwater Ammunition was showing off their new line of 2011 pistols for 2020 called the Raven series. The Raven 2011 will have two different models for duty use or competition as well as coming in both compact and full size frames. Blackwater wanted to throw their hat into the 2011 ring with a high end 1911 that is competitively priced for today’s market. There is a fairly substantial number of options available for each pistol with the ability to customize your gun to your specifications. Lets take a look at what Blackwater will have new to offer in 2020.
[SHOT 2020] – Vortex Optics New 1-10×24 Razor HD Gen III
One of the most talked about items at Shot Show 2020 was the release of Vortex’s Razor HD Gen III 1-10×24. Vortex has been known for their Razor line of optics and the previous 1-6×24 was one of the clearest scopes I’ve ever used. The new Razor HD Gen III takes what was good about the previous models and adds magnification, so lets take a look at what the Razor HD Gen III 1-10×24 is all about.
[SHOT 2020] New From Lancer Systems – The Laugo Alien & The L15 Defense
The big draw at Lancer Systems’ range day lane was of course the 9x19mm Laugo Alien pistol which they’re importing from the Czech Republic. They had a table absolutely full of them and it was a blast to finally put some rounds through one after reading about them for so long.
[SHOT 2020] New California Compliant Firearms and Parts at SHOT Show
SHOT Show is an event where manufacturers show off their latest goods, but to Californians many of them are off limits. Standard capacity magazines, drum mags, sub guns, scary black rifles with pistol grips, pistols not on some approved roster, etc. The gun laws suck in the golden state, but California is still a very large market for the firearms industry and every year many companies release California compliant parts and firearms. Below are a few I stumbled upon at SHOT Show 2020.
