#SHOT2023

New this year via Grand Power’s importing partner Global Ordnance will be a .22LR Stribog as well as fully outfitted Stribog Carbines.  The .22LR Stribog TR22 will initially come as a pistol, priced close to the 9mm Stribogs.  The Stribog carbines will be assembled in the United States with at least the requisite number of parts to be 922r compliant, if not more.  There are also two new pistols coming this year from Grand Power: an LP chambered in 9×18 Makarov and the AREX Delta XTAC.

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is at FN to talk about the new FN 545, the so-called highest capacity .45ACP pistol on the market. According to FN:

Geissele Automatics showed up to SHOT Show 2023 with two new rifles chambered in the ultimate SPR cartridge: 6mm ARC. The competition-ready Stratomatch rifle and the tough and durable GFR (Geissele Freedom Rifle) RECCE.

Hidden away in Mossberg’s SHOT booth was a few new shotguns: Mossberg 590S models with the Optic Ready capability, as well as new M-LOK forends.  Able to mount a low-profile optic, and cycling everything from mini shells to 3″, the new 590S Optic-Ready models are available with 18″ and 20″ barrels, both retailing at $704 MSRP.

Brigade Manufacturing Inc.’s new Makasi rifle was on display at SHOT Show 2023 in the AmChar Wholesale booth. It blends the FAL and AR-15 into something new, almost sort of modernized FN CAL. Let’s delve into this unique design and what it has to offer.

Knight’s Armament Company (KAC) has produced suppressors since the later 1970s, and they continue to do so. KAC displayed several new models at SHOT 2023 featuring additive manufacturing techniques.

Barwarus and Frontier Armory had a few interesting upgrades for AK-pattern guns at their SHOT Show 2023 booth.

New from Viridian this year is a closed emitter green dot sight, the FX45.  With a 5 MOA green dot, 6061 aluminum housing and fitting into the Aimpoint ACRO footprint, the Viridian FX45 is available at an MSRP of $459.00.  Viridian is also offering a host of other new and updated sights, lights and lasers.

America is getting another hot Italian Import: the Beretta PMXs, a semiautomatic version of their 9x19mm PMX submachinegun.   Though TFBTV’s James Reeves covered this development in May of 2022, Beretta brought this gun to SHOT 2023, bringing this development one step closer to reality.

New for 2023 is Franchi’s All Terrain Elite.  The All terrain elite is a version of Franchi’s Momentum rifle that features 2-position iron sights, a long top rail, threaded barrel, and a midnight bronze cerakote finish.

New this year from RIA USA is an American designed, American-made pistol with a lot of unique features: The 5.0 Pistol in 9x19mm.  We got a chance to shoot this smooth operator at SHOT 2023 Industry Day at the Range.  Let’s take a closer look:

Foxtrot Mike Products have a few new models of their FM-15 on display at SHOT Show. All models were the new and improved Gen 2 versions.

Added to the recently launched Pursuit line of Stag Arms hunting rifles is the new Pursuit bolt action rifle. At SHOT Show 2023, we had a chance to take a look at the pre-production versions of this rifle. Let’s see what features Stag Arms offers in this new bolt action rifle.
