SCCY showed off a few new and updated models of their concealed carry pistols at SHOT Show 2022.

At the SHOT Show 2022 Industry Day at the Range, MKS Supply brought the recently released Barnaul subsonic 9x19mm ammunition and offered to test it in a suppressed full-auto 9mm AR … few things are more fun than that! Let’s see what specs this subsonic 9mm ammunition has.

CAA has been showing off their new 9mm PCC, the AGADA, as well as their new Gen3 Micro Conversion Kit (MCK).

OSS, well known for their flow-through suppressors, rebranded to Huxwrx shortly before SHOT.  IN fact, it was so close to the start of the event that they were a bit hard to find, still being listed as OSS on most SHOT resources.

LMT unveiled the newest addition to its lineup with the MARS-L9. The L9 incorporates features from the legendary MARS family of rifles and looks to make a big splash in the PCC market.

Christensen Arms’ big new release for 2022 is the Modern Hunting Rifle (MHR).  The core of the the MHR is a chassis containing the barreled action and magazine.  Beyond that, one can select from four different stocks, two different buttpads, four different firing hand grip sections, three different fore-ends, and either a removable box magazine or hinged floorplate.  This adds up to 192 different ways to configure your rifle.

New for 2022 from Axil in collaboration with Sig Sauer is the Ghost Stryke Extreme 2.0 in-ear bluetooth compatible electronic hearing protection system.  The Ghost Stryke 2.0 is connected via bluetooth to your device, and the earbuds are tethered to each other via a cable that also connects the on/off switch, volume controls, and rechargeable power source.

Stopping by EAA’s booth at range day, their was a whole lotta of firearms to choose from. First off, I elected to try a few magazines with the Girsan MCP35, a Browning Hi-Power clone being imported by EAA. The MCP35 can be had in quite a few different colors and finishes (including gold, if that’s your thing) as well as with a number of different grip styles.

KelTec unveiled a brand new micro 9mm pistol at SHOT 2022, the P15. It is very much a part of the current trend of ever higher capacity micro concealed pistols. The P15 takes its name from the 15-round magazine that comes with the gun. A 12-round flush fit magazine is included as well.

It seems like almost every company claims to give a “modern twist” to a “proven design” or somesuch, but Taylor’s & Co appear to have struck gold with their TC86.

Winchester Ammunition had several new varieties available at Shot Show 2022 Industry Range Day. The USA Ready Defense 9mm +P 124-grain load was present in quantity. The HEX-VENT polymer insert aids in expansion by “channeling material flow” as it passes through the target. Winchester’s promotional materials advertise over 12″ of penetration and 95% weight retention. Several blocks of ballistic gel were on hand and seemed to back up those penetration claims.

New this year from Polymer 80 will be complete PF320 kits to plug and play with your Sig P320 FCU. The kits will come with an aluminum flared magwell and a stainless steel barrel, as well as a slide that has an optics cut for RMR footprint RDS.

The new rifles on hand to shoot from Savage this year were the Impulse Elite Precision in 6.5 Creedmoor and the Model 64 Precision in .22lr. The Impulse Elite Precision was chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, and was fitted with a suppressor by the time we got to shoot it. The Model 64 Precision on hand sadly did not have the 20 magazine it typically would come with, but did have a suppressor fitted as well.
