The Savage Axis is an extremely popular hunting rifle for many across the nation. The trusty bolt action rifle comes in a wide variety of caliber options and styles including left-handed models, compact ones, and models with hardwood or synthetic stocks. All of these rifles are quite affordable, generally costing between $400 and $700. Newer models of the Savage Axis, however, have changed the old receiver and updated it with standard, extended and 20-MOA one that feature larger 8-40 screws.
